And if we cannot get McFadden...

I think Brohm will be a damn good NFL quarterback, if we are unlucky enough to miss out on Mcfadden, I'm hoping we're lucky enough to get Brohm, I'm still not completely sold on Romo.

I like Brohm's potential as well.

If Romo's fails down the strecth this year, Brohm will be wearing 12 next year with a Star on his helmet, unless the Falcons have a worse record than Cleveland.

I agree, Brohm looked phenominal last night, he has a beautiful high release that just jumps off his wrist with such velocity. What impressed me most last night was his arm strength and accuracy, his down field throws are a thing of beauty. What reminds me of Palmer besides the physical similarities is the way he throws with such power but puts great "touch" on his passes, this allows for consistently great accuracy.

I hope he is more like Brady and less like Dellome. I think Brohm is going to be so highly regarded after this year that he will be the #1 overall pick and a true "Franchise QB" IMO the best passer since Palmer to come out. As such I think Romo will have to play outstanding and leave absolutely no doubt for Jerry to pass on making a move for Brohm.

As stated I sure hope he does, because I would sure love to see Mcfadden or Slaten in our backfield.

That's why you gotta hope all the teams that recently acquired franchise QB's do poorly. Team's like the Texans, Raiders, Packers already have their QB's of the future. Our worst nightmare would be that The Raiders, Dolphins, Lions, Vikings, and/or Falcons choose before us, if they do, Then we might not end up with any of the elite guys coming out.

Or we could just hope that Romo is the real deal.

But maybe that's just me.

The Falcons, Dolphins,Lions and possibly the Vikings could definately be in the hunt for Brohm. On the other hand guys like Minnesota and Miami would almost have to pass on Mcfadden and/or Slaton given the high picks used recently on Ronnie Brown and Peterson.

It al depends on how Romo does to see who we'd rather have challenging Cle. for the top pick.

No kidding. The Texans and Packers have their QBs of the future, but we don't?

Good point. The only difference is the Texans and Packers have made significant investments in Schaub and Rodgers respectively, one being a first round pick and the other given a large contract, whereas we still have the to decide rather or not to make a significant investment in our QB, a guy like Brohm just provides a good alternative to factor into the decision.

he's a great player but i just dont see him ever being a dominant player like i think McFadden will be! i could see him being more like a Turner type player where he puts up very good stats as a backup n eventually becomin a good solid startin RB...

Give me McFadden, please!!!

Romo may never be Brady or Peyton, but with McFadden in the backfield he does not have to be. With Romo, McFadden, Glenn, Owens, Witten, we would be kicking *** and taking names.

Romo + McFadden >>>>>> Brohm

You also have to ask yourself whether our coordinators are creative enough to use a McFadden properly, like the way the Charger's use LT or the way the Saints use Bush, or would we just keep lining him up in the backfield and making him plow straight ahead.

Our play calling wasn't exactly dynamic under Parcells.

What's that got to do with our offense now?

Our OC was in Maimi last year.

Not to mention I think the playcalling was fine last year. It's the talent that was lacking.

You're right.... I see the Boys drafting McFadden and playing him at QB in the Wildcat formation. He's got lots of experience in that.

OK seriously. The Chargers don't use LT in some revolutionary way. they just get him the ball a lot, by running and throwing it to him. He doesn't really line up at WR like Bush. He throws a couple of passes every now and then, which McFadden may be able to do. but he's just a very good RB.

Rice is a good looking prospect, but right now I like Slaton and Stewart more than him. I think this is going to be a great year for RBs, and while I'd like to get one early in the first, I think there's going to be good enough depth that we don't have to reach for one.

Watch out for Erik Ainge. Great Great size, and a good head for the QB position

My point exactly. Julius had 9 receptions last year, the first time he's been healthy all year. I'm not talking about lining McFadden up at TE or anything.

The team had talent last year, there's a reason we scored more points than we have in a good while. But I remember Newman saying one fault of Parcell's was that sometimes he got more interested in proving a point than in winning games.

One of the reasons that SD gets LT the ball in the passing game more is because they have had ZERO in terms of WR production for years. Gates is the only downfield threat they've got.

What, do you know him personally?

He said it. It was on one of the Dallascowboys.com podcasts, lunch break maybe. I was as surprised as you apparently are.

And you're probably right peplaw06.
