Another layer to Zeke's case

And there's the key word once again, just like with Brady, "procedural violation", not on the merits of facts of the case, so once again the NFLPA will try to cherry pick some judge, probably won't be in New York court, who will side with them on some ridiculous "procedural violation motion for which in the end Zeke will lose on appeal, just like with Brady did and serve whatever suspension the league imposes....Rather just serve your punishment and move on and get it behind you

'Moving on and getting it behind you' is a bad move if you haven't done anything.

It concedes that you've done something and can hurt your future when it comes to future endorsements, getting on TV, etc. And the next violation of some other sort of NFL rule may result in a greater suspension and another DV violation may result in banishment.

Tiffany Thompson has stalked EE. She not only lied to police and tampered with a witness...but she did that in spite of *knowing* that there were 6 eyewitnesses to the incident. There is nothing there to make me believe that she isn't crazy enough to try and concoct something against EE again. When it's a male stalker, we believe that they are crazy enough to keep coming after their female victim, but when it's a female stalker, we somehow think that isn't going to happen.

Furthermore, the way this suspension gets lifted is thru the court of public opinion siding with EE. That requires time and more evidence to come about. Because of the procedures in place where EE has to go to the NFL to appeal and then take it to court and the fact that the suspension was just recently levied...EE hasn't had the time nor the opportunity to present evidence to the public to sway its opinion.

And in the case of Brady...he won the last 2 Super Bowls. Shows you how bad going to court and delaying the suspension affected him and his team. But either way, I will never blame a man who is innocent for going to the fullest extent possible to clear his name. Anybody who does...well, shame on them.

I'll be pleasantly surprised if anything comes from his appeal today.

Have no idea why some draw the parallel of Zeke to Brady's situation. Brady's case was about cheating and jeopardizing the integrity of the game, something the court really has no say in.

Zeke has been labeled a woman beater by an NFL internal investigation with questionable at best evidence. They have no business conducting their own criminal investigation when the outside courts didn't even find enough to charge him with anything.

Two completely different issues.
Unfortunately everyone except false equivalencies.

Great post. She shouldn't get away with her bs. She is a scumbag and I wish he would take her to civil court after this is over and ruin her life. That would be not only justice but poetic justice.

lol, tell her to just sit on her spurs.

Best thing would be get it reduced to 4 and take it to court allowing him to play week one and then drop it and sit the next 4 weeks

Best thing is for him to play all season.

Let Dak get another year and our young defense get some more experience before we take away the fuel that makes he engine run.

I doubt they drop it if it's reduced to even one game unless the language is signifantaly changed. Threatening being barred from the league and being labeled as a woman beater is worse than the suspension.

So Zeke is testifying under oath today per Rap Sheet. Wouldn't it be nice if the testimony sentencing him was treated the same way?

It is by design by his legal team. When they go to court, you will have one party that gave sworn testimony under oath and the other party that did not. The league chose to accept the testimony not under oath. I doubt judges will be very happy about that.

It's hiarious tot hink that some

I don't know if Zeke understands how big of a fight he is in right now, it's much bigger than him, this is about real justice now. This is a game changer.

I think they know but his main focus is removing the woman beater label the league has branded him with. I hope he sues them for as much as is humanly possible even if he loses this battle. He has been branded for life without clear evidence and due process.

You can't expect this poor unfortunate victim to have to show up and face the man she's accusing. We should just take her word for it and move on. Maybe come up with some cool pink designs for October. #HerTruth
Never mind the lies and manipulation on her part. Then there was her reminding EE she is white and her word will be believed over his for that reason... the 4 person advisory panel proved her right.

War daddy? Lol he didnt help Brady. Like it or not Zeke won't win in the courts. He has a better chance getting it reduced by Henderson than winning in court.
You're correct in that he likely won't win, but he may get the suspension delayed. At the very least, he's not taking it lying down. The more goodell has to fight these very public kinds of "I am judge, jury, and executioner" type decisions, the more likely they (the league as a whole) will change their tactics...but not likely until the next CBA. Whether one agrees with goodell's decision or not, most would agree that the league is put in awfully poor light in exercising their "judge, jury, and executioner" tactics.

If they file quick they can get an court injunction within 24 hours. I think the wheels are in motion for that injunction to happen. So Zeke might be able to play the first game.
I wouldn't be a bit surprised if the league waited until late next Friday to announce that the appeal is upheld, making it more difficult for Zeke to get an injunction prior to Sunday's game. I suppose they could get a judge on Saturday to grant the injunction, but I'm not sure. What say ye lawyers out there?
