I purposely put it down a little ways just to prevent being too obvious. Sorry I put it down too far.

Oh, nothing that needs an apology...it was just so far down that many missed it and took your post seriously. The post was so absurd that I knew you couldn't possibly be serious. :)

Weren't we all excited about his potential even during the draft when we saw him falling. I suggested drafting him at some point because I didn't believe his agents claim that he would hold out and re-enter the draft or whatever it was he was telling teams.

likely. but after the draft and the possibility that he could come here - i was like NO IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN...

and i was so wrong.

WOW!........a sad note to that run is that McFadden doesn't have the quickness to break it.

Tyron is his idol. He'll take to mentoring from him well. He's really jumping off the screen at LG.

Collins is all aggression. I love it.
Tyron threw someone off to the side like a rag doll... Last year?

This nastiness please me.

I remember Arkin having the same flashes and then never putting it all together.

:p

Honestly never saw Arkin rag doll anyone, let alone pancake two player on the same play. Maybe smilie means you are joking. If anyone showed flashes it was Free. When he first took over for Columbo he was a pulling terror. Whatever happened to that guy?

I am amazed that a draft bust like Arkin even got mentioned in a thread like this.

That's what I was thinking too. That play looked like it could have been a long gainer, but Witten whiffs on his block and then Smith is just running without anyone to block. If he but turns to see the oncoming defender, that play likely breaks for bigger yardage.

It seems on more than a few plays, we're one or two blocks away from springing a big gainer.

Exactly. And we actually have a back now that if he gets a step, he's gone. And we REALLY need TDs right now in such a major way and we can't manufacture them to save our lives. Just a couple of blocks here and there and these last couple of games could have been completely different.

The Leary issue is interesting. Early in the season, it looked like Collins would be on the bench all year, Leary would play at a very high level, and some team would probably be willing to offer Leary big money next year and maybe even give us a draft pick for him. Now, it's seeming like Leary's value may be dropping. The plus side is we might be able to keep him at little cost. The negative is we might not be able to get much for him anymore. If Collins is capable of playing RT at a high level, it comes down to whether you want to invest in Leary for the long-term or if you want to see what you have in a guy like Chaz Green. A lot of people seem to think Leary has a low ceiling and isn't anything more than decent. I think he's pretty young and has already shown to be able to play at a very high level. Is he irreplaceable? Probably not. But does that mean we should gamble on guys like Chaz Green or should we go with the sure thing?

We all saw the play where he put Brandon Wagner on his hind end as well.

More like he made Bobby Wagner look like a "Brandon Wagner".

They should start calling him "The Bouncer" - he looks like he's throwing guys out of a bar.

He's a dominator. Just a nasty roadgrader. It was absolutely ridiculous that the Cowboys didn't start him week 1 and how so many supported that decision. Ronald Leary isn't even comparable to the rookie version of Collins.
