Who freakin cares how many more games Free played in, we simply don't need another tackle. We have Adams, Colombo, McQuistan, Marten and Davis can swing tackle.

If anything, we needed a center or guard more than a tackle.

Don't get me wrong, I've been a Boys fan for as long as I can remember, and OL depth has been an issue inthe past. No doubt about it, I won't argue that for one minute. I admit that I was hoping for a NT with our 1st #4, but on the second day, usually the biggest concern with your big boys is the motor/motivation dept.
We already have 2 projects behind Fergy, how many more do we really need?
Because that is exactly what your getting at this point in the draft.

Quality NTs are rare and valuable assets. The year we got Quincy Carter JJ tryed the shot gun approach and it didn't deliver a playmaker because we went by need instead of BA. Maybe next years Cleveland pick can help with that. But there are way more duds than studs at DT every year in the first round. Lets hope we eventually get lucky. That is my hope and you never know. Maybe we find another Big Cat without a nose candy problem. It could happen and Leon Lett was a real deal for awhile.

Uhhhhh....Marten stands 6-8 in cleats and that's simply too tall to be an effective guard. He may have done it in college, but in the NFL a 6-8 309 guard is a joke.....period.

You think 2 inches really makes that much of a difference. What quantifiable knowledge do you have about Marten that says he can't be effective??

He's 50 pounds lighter than Davis, maybe he has can get lower and drop his center of gravity. face it, you've probably never heard of this guy (at least not more than in passing) until yesterday... You simply don't like the pick, and you're trying your damndest to try to discount it, when you really have no idea.

Fix the OL has been the cry for the last 4 years. We try to get bigger and younger and do just that and now everyone crys about it. I don't understand

1. some of us are very happy to delieriously happy we're doing this.
2. some see the logic and will live with it.

these two groups don't go overboard much on letting the world know.

3. some people will whine regardless.

and they're doing it now - but let's not say *everyone* is crying about it. just group 3 and they're the most annoying "whine at everything" group anyway.
