Cracks me up seeing fans talk about draft position, despite late season upsets happening every year, as if the players care about draft position.

Some of those guys won't even be on the team next season. Some of those draft picks could take their job. Players don't care about that, at all.
Management does and they can bench key players at any time.

One thing that should help is that there is only 1 team in the league with a defense that is performing worse than the Eagles since week 12.

CD needs to push that new record out of reach.

Do you think DQ will play any linebackers on Sunday? That novel concept will help the run defense.
Hopefully your correct but if you look at the last few weeks of games and come away confident in our line baking corps in run defense then you’re watching a different team

Albeit they were all high powered offenses they still had their way

I know this much the game thread ought to be a hoot if it’s remotely close

While I pick the Cowboys to win, I'm nervous that everybody and their dog are basically assuming that we've already secured the #2 NFC seed in the playoffs. No one has even suggested the Commanders have a chance in this game. I find that odd. After all, it's a road game, the Cowboys offense haven't looked great since the Eagles game. Of course I'm not suggesting the Cowboys shouldn't win, but I'm not seeing a blowout. I think the Commanders make it tough for most of the game. What say you?
I do not take it for granted.

Dak has had terrible games there.

Remember the last one?

theres always a chance

Dallas is the better team by a mile and if they come oit swinging this game should be over by the third quarter

if not then they'll lose like they did last year which was one of the more disguting ways to lose, i know ny played backups against philly but that does not mean you go out there and not care

The thing I come back to is that Washington’s defense is far worse than it was last year at this time. Anything can happen of course, but I fully expect a victory Sunday.
If watching a 3-12 cards team with nothing to play for, go on the road and beat an e-girls team that had everything to play for doesn‘t convince Cowboys fans that the Cowboys better bring their best effort Sunday, then they aren’t paying attention.

I expect the Cowboys to win for sure. I also expect the commanders to bring a strong effort. This will probably be Ron Rivera and his staff’s last game with these players. Most players and coaches develop strong bonds and with this being probably their last game together, I expect a tough game for at least for 2-3 quarters.

The Cowboys need to see this as the beginning of the playoffs and play accordingly.

Of course there is. Dallas has not played well on the road and it’s a division rival who spanked them in week 18 last year when the division was on the line at kickoff. I am not expecting Washington to lay down at all.

This has upset special written all over it. The team has a smugness to it and the offense has stunk 3 weeks in a row. Were it not for CD Lamb, we wouldn’t have an offense.

Yes, a Commanders victory is possible. They normally play us tough, especially at home. Plus, they have nothing to lose. They can't win the division or get into the playoffs, so they might as well play aggressive and see if the ball bounces their way. If they beat the Cowboys, especially if it denies us the NFCE crown, they would see it as a moral victory, and a good way to end and otherwise dismal season.
...
I suspect McCarthy knows all of this, so he'll send the Cowboys onto the field well prepared with an excellent game plan. IMO, the Cowboys will win this, but it ain't gonna be a pushover.

I thought there was a decent chance that Arizona would beat them. I liked the onside kick because it gave Arizona the time they needed to pull off the final drive. Great clock management.
Insult to injury for the Iggles is watching their 2 ex co-ordinators have success with their new team, and Gannon could very well be the on responsible for knocking out of the NFC East title. When Matt Patricia and his penicl get hired end of the year to solve your D problems, there is more going on than we think

Absolutely a chance. Heck haven’t you watched the Cowboys over the last 30-years. It’s absolutely a Dallas thing to allow!

Let alone the soon to be ex HC would love nothing more than stick it to them on his way out the door

there is always a chance. was there a chance AZ beating dallas? was there a chance AZ beating Philly? was there a chance vikings beating SF?

but if the cowboys play like they can. if they are motivated. if the coach does't stick his head in his arse. then yeah we should win this game.

Anything is possible. Dallas just needs to buckle down and take care of business, they are the better team by far.

Comment from a Voldemort beat writer on X just now...

"More fuel to the Commanders' fire: They were one of four NFL teams without a single Pro Bowl selection. Cowboys expect their Sunday opponent to play like it has nothing to lose."

The '93 4-12 Washington team beat the Cowboys.
'06 5-11 Washington team beat the Cowboys.
'14 4-12 Washington team beat the Cowboys.
And the '23 Cowboys have already lost to a team that is now 4-12.
