Anybody else still wishing we would have taken a RB in 3rd round?

Still think that decision might come back to bite us. Why didn't we take Matt Jones or Karlos Williams, or try to trade up and take Telvin Coleman? I'll admit not many knew how good Karlos Williams might be, but everyone was aware of the talent of Jones and Coleman.

Trading up for Coleman might've cost our 4th round pick, but I'd trade Green and Wilson for Coleman.

The Cowboys thinnest position is OT. Taking an OT was a good idea. You can't judge that decision just because Green was injured. At the time he appeared to be close to being NFL ready and ahead of guys like Weems who was on the roster.

The RB position is now deep. Randle and McFadden were as good as could be expected in game 1 and Dunbar was terrific as a receiver.

They have a guy with Wow athleticism (C-Mike) that might not even be active for awhile.

I wanted Coleman especially, but with addition of Michael, I'm good with what the boys have. Plus, it looks like they are easing DMC back in slowly. He will eventually be released in space.

The Dallas FO clearly deserves the benefit of the doubt given the last couple of years drafting, but I do think Buck Allen would have been a better pick in the 3rd.

Been harping about this all along. I wanted him badly. But I guess its not worth crying over spilt milk.

Yeah I still want an RB, but I'd change my tune if we got Michael on the field and he showed up.

I would have liked to have taken a RB in the draft but draft is over and I move on. All in all happy with the past draft

This was going to be my point. If Green doesn't get hurt and is your swing tackle, you don't trade him for an RB in the draft.

I was a huge Coleman fan and I would have given up the third and next years second. Having said that the trade for C-Mike made it ok. This guy is a special runner and I just hope we get to see him sooner rather than later.

Tevin Coleman had 20 carries for 80 yards for....you guessed it....4.0 ypc. No receptions.

Randle had 16 for 65 yds or 4.0 ypc with 3 catches for 42 more yards. He gave the team 107 yards on 19 touches.

I was in the draft chat when the Commanders took Matt Jones and most were either asking "who?" or laughing at the reach. Now we're lamenting it after 1 game? And Karlos Williams? There was literally no one clamoring for him pre/post draft. If you want to nag about not having Coleman, then hate Gregory because thats who we would have had to pass up to get him. The Cowboys were not trading a 3rd and another 2nd to trade up and go get a RB. They could have just traded for AP at that price tag.

The most interesting thing to me with all the people that wanted to draft a RB is that there is no concensus on who they wanted.

I'll be more concerned if we don't go after a QB next year. Because if Tony needs to make this many pass attempts per game he won't last the season.

I liked Karlos SPARQ rating coming out, but he's a knucklehead and probably on the no draft board for us

Let's say we did take a RB in the 3rd instead of Green.

Call me crazy, but I don't think any of them would be above any of our backs on the depth chart.

I'm a believer in drafting OL every single year and have been since the '90s, so no, I would not rather we had drafted an RB there. (Especially given we had no idea Collins would be available).

Green is our RT by 2017 at the lastest if he stays healthy

I wanted a receiver or another pass rusher but I no longer follow college football so I have no idea if there was a better pick.

Nope didn't bite as at all. We are fine and dandy at RB.

I believe Michael is significantly better then anyone we would have drafted our 3rd rounder and beyond with the exception of maybe Davis or Cobb

I think those are the only 2 that would have had a shot at winning a starting job here
