Anyone else disappointed Bledsoe show no support for Romo on the sidelines?

When did he pout in New England?

When did he pout in Buffalo? He was cut in the offseason so he could not possibly have pouted in Buffalo.

Last night, he is benched at half-time on national tv yet you and others seem to expect him to come out all smiles giving Romo the old "win one for Drew' line.

Isn't it enough you got your wish and the 1AA prodigy is now the starter?

He wasn't very helpful to Brady when Brady was kept as the starter. There was talk of "Cancer" and "Bledsoe" in the same sentence.

He wouldn't mentor Losman at all and then threw the Bills under the bus that offseason.

And my wish wasn't for Romo, it was for Bledsoe to never be signed. That stupid decision set this franchise back for years to come unless Romo pans out.

.

Cause Losman sucks.

Just to remind some of you,, this is a TEAM sport. This is not a 9-5 job. These people are being paid very well to function inside that comcept, a TEAM. As part of that team, you do what your job is and help teammates if/as needed. Bledsoe job in the 2nd half was to be the Back Up QB. Like it , don't like it, don't matter, that is what he was being PAID to do. He was being PAID to be APART of the team, just like the other 52 players. Instead of doing whatever he could to HELP the TEAM, he stood on the sideline POUTING like a 2 year old. He is a DISGRACE.

I don't see anyone helping Bledsoe when he is having a tough game. But he is suppose to hold Romo hand? get out of here Romo is a big boy and he now has the job and he will either deal with it or not. The day of blaming Bledsoe is done

Bledsoe could have seen something in the coverage and relayed it to Romo and keep him from maybe throwing one of those 3 picks. :banghead:

Not sure that might have been too big of a presumption. He hasn't seen anything in coverage for about a season and a half now.

Its always an ugly thing when a star or other player that's used to being "the man" is relegated to a lesser role. Trainwreck Collision between expectations and reality.

Honestly, I cannot believe that BP made the switch. Its definitely not like him but it was past time and Romo may throw 20 INTs the rest of the year but he sure is a lot more exciting to watch. And he utilizes and allows us to utilize our all our lethal receiving threats.
Ya know, Romo would've driven us to a score every time if he hadn't thrown the 3 INTs and TO wouldn't have dropped the 4th down ball he should've caught. He had the NYG on their heels a little bit. Get him to get rid of 2 of those INTs and we probably win that game.

Not at all. I have no QB agenda unlike most here.

I just think it is atrocious the way the same people that rip Bledsoe for INTs are excusing the prodigy for his.

I also suspect those same posters now have a new favourite player, the next backup.

My horse in this race has not been drafted yet :laugh2:

Seriously thou, I think people lend more understanding to Romo because he is young and relatively inexperienced as opposed to Bledsoe who has been in the league 13 seasons. I know that I look at it in that way.

Romo has an opportunity. What he does with it is up to him. Having said that, if he continues to throw picks, the honeymoon will soon fade and he too will find himself being abused for not lending help to his replacement upon his benching.

;)

I don't see anyone helping Bledsoe when he is having a tough game.

Because Bledsoe has played for over 10 years, and he continues to have tough games in situations like this. Drew Bledsoe has had over ten years of NFLY experience to understand receivers, as well as pressure in tight games. Drew Bledsoe has had over 10 years to learn to adjust to defensive schemes in the NFL.. Drew Bledsoe has been on 3 teams, and all 3 teams he performed the same...

Drew Bledsoe has EARNED THE RIGHT to be criticized...

Ahhh, the voice of reason. Earth is not a perfect place. Glad to see I'm not alone.

romo is a big boy and he will need to stand on his own feet and thankfully now we can find out *if* he can do just that.

however, i've got an old musician friend of mine who said his job now isn't to necessarily go out and make it big at 41, but his job is to pass on what he knows to the young guys. help them understand the complex world they're getting into.

no, drew doesn't *have* to do a thing. but the person of class i'd be glad to root for *would* do the right thing when he could.

that's how you earn respect.

He absolutely could have offered some great tips, like;

Defensive linemen are not ghosts. Do not attempt to throw the ball through them. I know it's tempting, but it's rarely successful.

If you're going down, hold onto the ball. Flipping it to the RB as a duck is nifty, but often catastrophic. I'm speaking from experience here.

We're wearing white.

I know that being replaced at Halftime is not going to make anyone happy. But if he is the professional that everyone claims he is, he needs to act like it. I was disgusted that all he did the whole 2nd half was pout on the sideline. Not once did he try to help the young kid out, not once did he look at any pictures to see what the D was doing. This is not the signs of a professional, but a big spoiled cry baby.

a load of crap...he never pouted...he was there, suited up, watching the game, believing it was a mistake. You guys are crazy.

I've seen Roger Staubach pulled for Craig Morton when he was having a bad game and vice versa...I never saw Roger with his arm around Morton, comforting him or advising him.

If Romo is ready to be the starter, what the hell do you want Bledsoe to tell him...some of you guys are the same ones who supported T.O. for his ridiculous sideline behaviour last week...now you want to pile on Bledsoe...at least he was on the sideline, up front, watching the game, not out back talking to Vanderjacht or eating a hotdog, ala Switzer.

i also saw danny white get pulled and when it didn't work, landry asked him back into the game and like a pro, danny white suited up and went back in w/o word or pout.

anyone remember that game?

Most QB's I have heard will say if another guy ask him a question about something he will answer it the best he can, but the bottom line the QB coach is the one in charge of the QB and it is not Drew job to make sure Romo maintains the starters job that is on Romo. Believe me I'm not knocking Romo by any means but in this league you either stand on your own 2 feet or you fall. Drew was brought into play the position not to teach others how to play it and I have heard the same from guys like Brett Favre.

Yes.. Very disappointed. I guess a lot has happened since he took his benching liek a true gentleman in New england and now.

Screw Bledsoe! I hope he retires and rids us of his baby-ish attitude. This is a professional league and there is no room for whiners due to the fact that you are still getting paid big bucks!

Nothing Drew could have said would have prevented the first two INTs. The last one was just a terrible throw.

What? That 2nd INT was all Romo. Totally and completely. He didn't see that his screen wouldn't work with no receiver in sight? He threw #2 right into a pack of defenders. How is that not his fault?

Scary thing is I do think he saw what was going on because he was double pumping on that play but could not help himself and tried to force the issue instead of pulling the ball down and running or throw it away.
