I heard Jason Taylor argue that the Cowboys defense didn't play well against the Giants because they gave up 23 points. I kid you not. The problem is these people can't actually watch every game and comment on them with any degree of critical analysis. They just look at some box scores and try their best to sound knowledgeable.

I'm not sure what that tool looked at, the Giants didn't have 300 yds of total offense.

Honestly, if a random team had played defense the way Dallas has the last 3 years (ranging from avg last year to crappy), I do think the media would be tapping the breaks after two games. With Dallas, they're obviously going to make more outlandish statements, but that's always been true. However, even if you're still in wait and see mode, you have to be excited about how they will look when Gregory and Hardy return.

If they did anything else, I would swear I woke up in an alternate universe.

You mean like the Commanders going from "Least to Beast" after one win?

They all seem to be saying the Giants should have won the 1st game and the only reason they lost is because of Eli. They all seem to conveniently forget that we dominated that game at the only reason the Giants were even in a position to win was because we handed them 3 turnovers. We have flat out dominated both of the games we've played so far and only our own mistakes have made it interesting.... SMH. I guess I'll never understand...

Personally, I love it when the media smothers the Cowboys in doubt. They play their best when they are playing as the underdog. Not sure why, but that's how it seems to be.

I think it has to do with Garrett, Garrett loves the underdog role....He played it his entire NFL Career. I think the team feeds off that challenge..."us against the world".

And it might be enough to get us 3 or 4 wins in the next 7/8 games...

It can work as a motivating factor, in fairness given our play over the 1st 2 games I don't blame anyone for questioning the Cowboys. Even the Cowboys can't be happy with their overall play.

Yes, but what's more important, I think the players feel the same way. You think they don't read and watch what's being said about them?

Man, I hope so. I hope they see the media response and become so mad they hit like Wilcox :D

We are without our franchise QB, without our Top 5 WR, have a hobbled TE, a lackluster running game, and our line isn't playing like it did last year.

No one is disrespecting us. What should the media be saying? We are Super Bowl contenders? Also, we dominated an out-of-sync Eagles team. We looked the exact same way when Romo was on the field.

The only real positive thus far is our defense and they're about to get truly tested by Matt Ryan.

Giants should have won the 1st game, hell I would expect the Cowboys to win a game 2 scores up with 8 min left in the game. Your right our 3 turnovers were a big reason but Giants played a part in creating those turnovers. I think Dallas is better than NY but I would be lying if I said the Giants should have been able to hold on to that game.

I don't think they did. The Witten/Romo interception was on Romo without any input from the defense. The Street turnover should have been held on to. I forget the other turnover without going back to rewatch the game but I seem to recall that it was on us not a good play by the Giants. The fact is we completely outplayed them minus the turnovers. Without those.. it's not even close and entirely possible our defense would have pitched a shutout.

Well the Giants should have won that game and it was all Eli's fault and were not a sexy team right now after losing Romo and Dez for a month or two

The Giants should have one the game if not for their mistakes. On the same note we should have won by three touchdowns had we not turned it over 3 times. Guess what, we did turn it over and the Giants did make mistakes. The better team won. We were prepared to play 4 quarters, they played 3 1/2!

They are absolutely 100% right. Did you forget how that game went down? All they needed to do was either run the ball in instead of telling the RB to go down, or simply run the ball 3 straight times and leave 30 seconds left on the clock with no timeouts.

It was a blunder of epic proportions. And although our offense did move the ball, we had 3 turnovers and were poor inside the rezone.

But really, it has been our defense that has dominated both games. The offense has been a disappointment compared to last year.

You don't really believe they were stupid enough to go down on those running plays when they had a chance to go up by 2 scores do you?? That was a comment by a running back who got his feelings hurt because he was stuffed 2 plays in a row.

Turnovers are part of the game and the Cowboys committed 3 of them vs the Giants and NY should have won the game had it not been for extremely poor clock management on their final drive. The Cowboys defense had an opportunity to stop the Giants in the closing minutes but got gashed by the run allowing NY to move from their own 20 to the Cowboys one yard line. The Giants could have scored a TD but Eli told his RB to go down to try and eat up the clock but he confused the Cowboys TO situation and instead of running the ball again he ran a pass play that he should have taken a sack on. The Cowboys got away with one and were very fortunate because had they lost that game they would really have a tough road to hoe without Romo and Dez the next several weeks.
