We are well past the time of a coaching change but a new coach should be able to pick his qb. Dak will be just fine being our back up. if he thinks he can be a starter elsewhere more power to him.

Yes, throw out the baby with the bath water,,so to speak

Still love the game and love the Cowboys. Have seen 4 SB's and many great players. The 2000's have killed me starting with the QB parade early and then the Romo era when we would get so close and then screw the pooch. I just knew the wheels were gonna come off every year from 2006 until 2014. Had the anxious queasy feeling before and during every game.

Then 2016 and I thought we had something. Most enjoyable season of football that I've had for a long time. My bad for believing. Now I watch the game with one eye, mild interest and bewilderment but no anxiety because it got burned out between 2000 and 2016. I even sleep well when we lose now. Find it funny and entertaining on here for a few days after a loss. Usually add a cent or 2 to the conversation but in reality I gave up caring back in the day that I cared, over 10 years ago

I have felt Meh for 20 years. But this year is turning out EXACTLY like last year. Its a horror show from the beginning and you just know that there is no hope.

It happens nearly every year. One little injury or mishap and it all falls apart. Its the coaching. ITs absolutely terrible and everyone knows it. The team is NOW starting to fall apart from within. Beasley blaming others ect….ect…..
With all new position coaches and it still looks like last year is because the common denominators of GM HC OC remained the same.

I truly believe if somewhere, somehow we could score some QB, that just with some luck of the draw could have a run like Fitzgerald for the Bucs, or like the Rams, we could make a run. We have weapons and an amazing defense. It truly is just the QB position that is lacking. 4-12, 5-11 is my prediction for this season. I'm lower than "MEH" about this year.

Haha I don't care what QB you have in the backfield with these plays and the amount of pressure given up by this o-line nobody is going to be able to do much in this offense. Personally I think most of our offensive woes are the direct result of extremely poor o-line play which has a cascading affect on the entire offense. You can't give up multiple sacks, penalties on 1st or 2nd down, 10 knockdowns, and 20 pressures a game and expect ANY QB to do very much not in this offensive scheme at least.

I used to be mad until Thursday after a loss. I would rewatch tape, critique what we could’ve done! Just a play here and there

Now I can barely sit through an entire game.

I’m also going to hell for making my infant son a fan :(

I take it so non-seriously that I let my wife start watching with me. I would rather answer her questions than focus on the game. I could miss 10 plays going for a sandwich and not miss a thing. I call it half time football and it lasts for 60 minutes of actual play and an extra 1.5 hours of commercialism and inane chat

I've followed football 30 years, even coached at the high school level. I watch film on all the Cowboys games. Have for years. The issues are not the O-line. Yeas it could improve, but it is more than adequate. Dak is fundamentally not a good QB. He's really bad. That is the issue.

I don't take football seriously enough to feel meh. I still enjoy the games and look forward to them. I like it better when our offense doesn't look like chicken poop.

I am in my 50's and have for all my life looked forward to football season and the cowboy game each week. Today I'm on the zone looking for something to believe in. I see stories of JJ saying we are like the rams. I roll my eyes at the joke that this seems. Does he really believe that or is he just trying to pump up a tired fan base?

I read JG saying that nothing major is changing on the offense. Boy the guy really knows how to pump you up . Linehan says that Dak needs to start slinging it. I get the point about him playing up tight but I feel like you need to do something to help him out so he gets protection to sling it. I feel like we will run the same crap and hope he can man up and somehow become Romo.

I see rookie QB after rookie QB getting setup to succeed by their coaches. Then I look at Rush who looked great last year and now looks alot like what Dak looks like running this offense.

All of this leads me to feel meh. I'm caring less than I ever have and I hate it. Come on Cowboys give me SOMETHING to believe in on offense and think the future will be better than the current.
Not yet. Still early in the season. Can come out in sync this weekend and go on a rip.

Or keep losing. But gotta keep going right now. Would love to be setting 2-1 or 3-0 right now.

I'm with you FL......I thought it could be an age thing, but like you...it's just the thought of JG producing thee worst offense in the entire NFL.

I got a feeling we will be a sea saw team and show some grit every other game.
That's exactly how I feel. Just enough to go 8-8 with no chance at a playoff spot or a top QB in the draft.

All these old school coaches need to go. The game has changed. As young as Garrett is, he has no idea what he is doing and his concepts are from 20 years ago.
He's not even young anymore at 52. I can understand thinking he's still young though since he hasn't done anything since he got here in his early 40s.
