Anyone else noticing how Switzer is fast gaining crediblity???

Jerry said he could get one of 500 coaches to win a superbowl with THAT team. The reason he said that was because the team had so much talent.

He was proven right.

That does not take away from what switzer did at OU.

Great coach?:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Please, a trained chimp could have won with that team.

Comments like the above are ludicrous. Bottom line, Switz won it all in just his 2nd year at the helm, with no NFL experience that so many around here insist is soooo important a prerequisite. Give him credit for adding the the last trophy to our case and cease the slandering his illustrious coaching career. No doubt, you are probably a diehard BP fan. LOL. Shocking.

Well I think it is a relevant point as to whether or not he was a good coach so it kind of does matter.

Right?

Good one.

On the other hand, I, too, dismiss the simpletons' (the plural possessive, no one in particular) mantra that so and so was only along for the ride.
In the case of the last super bowl we won, brainiac, was it Campo who coached us to victory? I mean, who in your mind coached us that year? Butch Davis? Who?

Any simpleton can buy into the idea that Switzer was just a talking head or a front man for Jerra. But there was some substance in all the national championships that he won, right? To say nothing of the great winning seasons when he did not.

OK, a good one by the Prophet and an even better one by the "only along for the ride" parrot.

Go home now, the show is over.

Thanks brother...as John Adams once said, "Facts are stubborn things". LOL.

Switzer did nothing inparticularly special that a thousand other people couldnt have done. If anything, its down right embarassing he lost to the 49ers in 1994.

Was Jerry really right my friend? After all Jerry's track record of getting it right is mightyt shakey. The Prophet thinks all of us can agree he is not a dynamo playing the role of a GM. No friend, Jerry picked the right coach at the right time we signed Switz and we were rewarded a SB trophy as a result. Give Switz his props brother.

Props for what? Getting OU placed on NCAA probation? Almost sucessfully getting a gun onto a commercial airliner?

Props for taking the arguably the most talented team in the history of the NFL and losing to the 49ers? All hail Switzer.

LOL. After hearing all the excuses this season by so many how the "players let Bill down" and he didn't deserve the blame for our melting away at the end of the season, it is interesting to hear some of you say that Switz deserves no credit for delivering us our last SB trophy. Can't have it both ways pal. A compelling argument can be made that the success of our SB teams led to complacency and hence it was quite an achievement to motivate this squad to their 3rd SB win. Something for the Switz haters to ponder. LOL.

Switzer inherited one of the most talented teams in NFL history, thats the difference between he and Parcells time spent in Dallas.

Real compelling argument about complacency, Im so compelled by it I am laughing my *** off at it.

Re-read my post again...slower this time. LOL. Switz deserves his props for delivering us our last SB trophy. Period.

Obviously, you can't seem to get by the OU connection. LOL. Take the blinders off ole buddy. Stoops would have been great BTW, had JJ been able to pull a rabbitt out of his hat to sign him.

"Facts are stubborn things" John Adams.

He deserves no credit what so ever. He is a boob, I dont care what he did at OU.

Switz inherited a talented team and led them to another SB championship. How is that not doing his job? Oh, and how do you explain the 3 national championships at OU?
BTW, did you ever even play the game (Madden 07 doesn't count)? LOL.

I give credit to Switzer winning the SB as HC but one thing is for sure the guy does not know the meaning of discipline. His teams lacked that at OU and they lacked it in Dallas. Aikman was very quick to point that lack of discipline out. Barry is a good guy but does not know how to control his players.
