I'm to the point of not understanding anything going on anymore

I get they wanted McCarthy back then he left, I get the hiring of Schottenheimer

I dont get why they havent made the hire yet? What are they waiting for?

How did this indecisive? Is Jerry unable to make a decision? Is he too old now? Is there infighting between Jerry and Stephen?

Anyone have any clue as to any of this? Theres no direction. Just a hire a dang HC and start moving in a direction. The more time they waste the harder it is for the next HC
They are working on his new contract. There is 15 parts to it, with multiple buckets, with contingencies, multipliers and subtractions - based on performance, his media support of ownership, and willingness to accepting 100% of all the blame.

I just wonder why none of that was true while he was already coaching the team?
I dont know how involved he's been, he's an assistant so he cant be too involved. Again if you dont know the type of HC is father is then its hard to explain.

Let me break it down for you. This organization is now being run like a democracy. Multiple people in a room and they vote on a decision. problem is everyone has a different idea as to how to go about things, so it all gets meshed together. Good CEO's share their vision and get people on board to execute that vision but not here. Stephen likes shotty but doesn't sound like Jerry is sold, but he's not putting down his foot and hiring his guy either. It will be a mess, the whole staff will be a mess, no one will get what they want. Fans lose again...30 years and counting.

Great points but who is Jerry's guy? Maybe if he had been more proactive instead of dragging his feet then they have another choice

Jerry is too old for this job. He doesn't have the consistent energy or creativity required to solve organizational problems. He's still angry about the GB playoff loss and hasn't moved past it.
Stephen is simply incompetent in his role with the team. Neither have a vision in regard to a football philosophy and that makes executing the daily operations of the franchise and making decisions difficult. They don't know how to get to where they want to be........... They interview guys like Pete Carrol to get some outside advice and insight b/c they are too close to the problem to see it.

Jerry's guy or guys are not interested for the money Stephen is willing to pay. So Stephen will end up getting his man.

I’ve posted this before but here you go.

There’s a tried and true business axiom that says…

Dysfunction at the top of any organization forces short term risks which results in long term damage.

Translated

All things Jerry + decisions on contracts and coaches = the current state of the franchise.

His responsibility was the entire offensive unit. It's literally his title. Any failure with that unit can be laid at his feet too. This is just like when people said Garrett was being held back by Wade. Turns out he just sucked at coaching too!

McCarthy called the plays so maybe he has a different philosophy I know his dad believed in the run game and defense

Calling plays is only one piece of this. What about gameplanning, scheming, preparing during the week? What, did Mike do all of that single handedly too? What did Brian even do here then?

His Dad's record and history and reputation has nothing to do with Schotty. He's in his 50s. The proof is in the pudding already. We're not hiring some unknown diamond in the rough here. He's done lots of jobs and not done them well enough to earn the promotion.

Well what do you call the results of forced long term risks?

Good points here.
It's also possible Jerry is really staying quiet, ruing his Landman TV series cameo and speech a few weeks ago...what irony. He talked about improving his life by integrating his family, Stephen, Jerry Jr, Charlotte, into his businesses, to help him have a happier life.
At the moment, the indecision mess probably just isn't what ol' Jerry had in mind. I could be wrong.

Jerral built the roster. If calling plays, does not match up with the personnel, then you have to change your plays.

I recall us coming out of the gate trying to force the running game in 2023 and we failed miserably. Then we switched to back to throwing the ball again.

Let’s see… Kellen Moore is the OC for the Eagles. He’s a bit busy. But he interviewed. With a guy he worked for - for 8 years. Think the boss might know him?

Or… has his 1 year service to the Eagles simply erased all memory of him with the boss?

Gee - if the Eagles win and Jerry doesn’t make an announcement, gee…. Who could it be?

I hear Kellen and Zeke are good friends. Hum… madness, I tell ya…

Jedi stuff
