Wow, there are plenty of defensive Romo fans out there. He didn't say anything overly critical, but since he was in the locker room I trust he was telling the truth at the very least. If Romo cannot take crticism than he is lacking maturity, but having said this I hope he has an All-pro year and takes the 'Boys to the promised land....Stanback will probably find himself in the CFL.

Why? So he can sit out games up there. Do they have ER's up there that can use superglue to put his candy *** back togeather?

Where he should have been in the first place

I don't have a problem with current Dallas players heaping praise on TO.

But if in doing so it implies something negative about one of our remaining current players then they better shut up about it.

Its just common sense. Circle the wagons for OUR guys whether you personally feel different or not. You're on the same team and its part of your job to make this team as productive as possible.

Personally, I don't think any player ought to be saying things that could be construed as Romo underperforming in 2008. To my knowledge, Romo has said NOTHING remotely negative about a players till a part of our team in 2009. I think its ridiculous that a player like Stanback of all people would do anything but praise the heck out of HIS QB who even with his warts just happens to be 10 times better than Stanback.

He's been in the studio for quite a while now, but I've just caught bits and pieces so far.

He's a smart guy and is being very diplomatic, but reading between the lines it almost seems like he's one of the ones who was on TO's "side". Very complimentary of TO and a bit evasive on questions about Romo.

Anyone listening?

This would be a perfect time for Jerra to start rejecting all that internal stuff that keeps popping up. Stanback is a nobody. Get rid of him. He's been no use and his time is up.
That would send a perfect message to those who would stir dissent whether pro-Romo or pro-T.O.
But Jerra has to tie the undercutting with the release to send the signal. Don't release him just cause Stanback sucks, Jerra.

As to RW (irony?), Stanback, Crayfish etc. who like to talk a lot and take sides publicly, you want to stir it up? Go do it in Oakland. No, Cleveland.

Well maybe Romo ought to make some public comments on all those players who feel the liberty to comment on Tony publicly. Afterall, he's in the lockerroom too, has his own version of the truth, and those players would also be lacking maturity if they can't take criticism.

Or, all the players could be mature and simply give constructive feedback privately to their teammates face.

Guess I'm a sensitive Romo-fan. :)

How this thread is progressing is exactly the reason I didn't want TO here in the first place. The guy's not even on the team but his controversy still lingers in the locker room and with the fan base.

The same thing happened in Philly and it was only magnified when they had a down year after TO was booted. Just now has the TO drama calmed to a point where it doesn't hijack the Philly radio sports talk. For our sake, I hope we have a hell of a season (especially RW) because the whole second guessing his release is going to be unbearable.

I would think there would be more pressing things to worry about this team. And now you are worrying about people worrying about T.O.'s absence. So I guess you got snookered in.

I actually think there will be very little second-guessing his release.

I know. What an idiot. I don't care if he's TO's best friend, he's a Cowboy and should answer with respect to his teammates (and he does not need to slight TO at all either, of course).

Listen to Ware, Witten and even Miles Austin and you'll learn how to handle the media in a classy, professional, way Mr. Balsa Wood.

How about being a team player? How about not throwing your teammates and coaches under the bus? How about not dividing 3 different locker rooms?
Oh, that's right...it's about "speaking the truth" and ME ME ME and MY FEELINGS...
Right....got it...

Honestly, I think the second guessing has been relatively quiet. A few hemorrhaged out of their butts for a bit, but by now, I'd wager that most of them are sort of happy that the drama's gone from the locker room, at least. There are worse things than a bubble-WR not coming out and actually saying something controversial about his QB in an offseason interview.

Personally, I think he answered the questions as if he didn't want talk bad against someone whom is a friend! I guess in some way, we all do it, but realistically, T.O.'s strong personality was the main reason Jerry jettisoned him. Ratliff, James, and Ware spoke of a more unified lockeroom and checking attitudes at the door during interviews at some point this offseason.

This is definitely the do or die time for him going into his third year. All the talent in the world.

---On the TO front. Joanna Krupa is pissed again. TO had to pull out of the Superstars show to go to Buffalo Bills OTAs.

As what? I don't see where he fits in the offense. Maybe as a kick returner.

Is he planning on doing some Wildcat packages?
