Anyone listening to Stanback on 103.3?...audio post#52

I think he will not only be on the team he will turn some heads.

If healthy, I agree wholeheartedly.

If Austin wins the #2 WR spot, Stanback will be the primary KR w/Felix. Stanback is the best QB option if they want to run the wildcat. And fyi, Stanback is miles more talented than Holley.

Again, it all depends on his health.

So he has no chance

A poor man's Stepfret Williams.

I wish him well...and I hope he proves me wrong.

As what? I don't see where he fits in the offense. Maybe as a kick returner.

Is he planning on doing some Wildcat packages?

as a wide receiver?

im hoping so Hostile, stanback is one of my sleeper players, liked him ever since he came out of college;

I even met him at the alamo dome one year.

Sorry, but Stanback looks nervous and scared everytime he's on the field. You can just see how timid he is when he's back returning kicks. I dont see his potential at all. One of the few times that I hope to insert my foot in my mouth.

He is a joke and is made of glass. I wish he and Carp would just go away for a bag of oreos. These guys have Jerrys cohonies in a grip for some reason.Pure rubbish.

Why does he make the team every year? He falls apart and sucks. He runs too straight up for kickoffs. He is terrible.

When other players state he makes unbeliveable plays at times then it's obvious he has a lot of talent.

There is no 'break-o-meter' to predict another injury. His shoulder could be a problem. Depends on how successful his surgery and rehab was.

If he stays healthy, which we will have to wait and see about, then he'll get some snaps. Another serious injury and I'd find a way to rid myself of him. Austin hasn't much experience either and stays injured yet he gets a pass.

They are both an injury waiting to happen. We need a tuff wr fireplug who will catch over the middle,block,etc...

You may very well be right. And there has been a pattern. Both are clearly talented. But I'll wait until I see another significant injury before jettisoning the bodies of those two.

Agreed....I'm not ready to chuck him over to another team yet. I want a full evaluation of him as a receiver first. Don't wanna see another Jimmy Smith get away because of early injuries.

Why would anyone even listen to Stanback?

I will not be shocked if he gets hurt within a week of coming back from his current injury.

Stanback is always laid up

I haven't listened to Stanback's comments, but I'm always hesitant to dismiss a player's comments just because he's a "scrub." Stanback is in that locker room just as much as Tony Romo, Jason Witten or Terence Newman. He may not be good, but it doesn't mean he couldn't provide some insight as well.

Injury prone, of course, but "timid"???? "Scared"??? Stanback runs with reckless abandon, which could be why he is injured so much. I think you've been watching the wrong guy.

I don't see it, I think that he was Jeff Irelands project

besides you don't draft a hurt player

I don't see him making it out of camp this year

and play what ?
KR - No
WR - No he has had three years to learn how to run routes I still bet he can't do it

He may be a great athlete but hes not a football player

he may have potential

heck I had potential to be 6'11" in 6 grade when I was 5'11" but when hieght did I stop growing it was at 6'2"

Roy
Austin
Crayton
Hurd
Manny Johnson or Ogletree

those guys make the team
