Weird he could never get over his hamstring issues once first injured.

i have cronic hamstring (and legs) issues, does not matter how much i stretch or drink fluids it will tighten up randomly. Dr. think its from all the cutting weight to fight that damaged the muscle fibers in my hamstrings, quads and calfs. sucks to play sports i can be just fine and then it grabs and i have to stop and stretch it and rest it.

Im from Jersey… actually right around Garfield so that was a crazy time.
Also have a friend of mine who played against him in D3…. Said they couldn’t stop him no matter what they did. lol.

I also remember picking him up in fantasy football for that cheifs game. Prob my best move ever.

Romo was a master at hitting layers in stride and Austin was a guy who could really make the most of that.
Could catch the ball and not even break stride.
Good player.

I thought it was the outs and comebacks that made Romo/Austin.

Lots of guys can run fast deep, but few could break and come back as hard as Austin. That's what created the conundrum for the corner, having to defend both short and deep.

And when he caught that comeback, you'd better wrap up, or he's running right through your arm tackle to the endzone.

Recall that we traded for Roy midseason 2008, burying Austin on the depth chart, while Austin came out in his first start in 2009 like he was shot out of a cannon. For about a season of games from 2009-2010, Romo/Austin was the hottest QB/WR duo in the NFL.

Romo carried a lot of guys who disappeared like farts in the wind once Romo was no longer throwing them the ball, but I don't think Miles was one of. For a short time, Miles could really execute routes and YAC, and would have been productive with any competent QB.
