he must be related to Dak and has a claim to a lot of Daks new money coming..seems personal lolIs this a serious post? Seriously, asking cause I feel like I am missing something here.
So when Dak re-signs are you going to disappear or are you just going to make a bunch fo posts about how your lie is ruined?
I’m not squirming. I know he’s going to be extended in a weeks time.
Seems like that’s all your buddy Todd France wants.I'll stay with the team. I've been here this long. Hopefully it will only be a 4 year contract.
Oh, I understand it. It is just not a good take
What you're calling team friendly is year 4 it will cost the chiefs 42 mil to keep him and 41 mil in dead money if they release him, year 5 39 mil to keep him and 38 mil to release him, year 6 42 mil to keep him and 42 mil to release him, here comes the really big one year 7 60 mil to keep him and 60 mil in dead money if the release him. The other 3 years are the same thing saving nothing to keep him and costing the same amount in dead money if they release him. So just where is that team friendly contract. Team friendly contracts are contracts that if the team decides to move on it doesn't cost them the same to keep them in dead money.

Do the math? Really? Maybe YOU should do the math before posting? The stats are all there. Sheesh.Dak isn't half as good as Mahomes, do the math, hopefully Jerry figures this out too.
Go get educated. Properly. Understand what QBR stands for and why. Then get back to me.I did not say Dak's 11 interceptions were bad, just that they were quite a bit worse than the two QBs you are saying he was better than last year. You seem pretty irrational when it comes to Prescott, so I'm going to bow out of this conversation. Anyone who thinks Prescott was better than Mahomes and Wilson last year is not in the right mind. Bringing Romo into a discussion that was not about him just shows how far gone you are on this topic.
Your thought process is flawed because Hope is not a strategy? All I am saying is this; no one can predict the Future. Starters come from every rd of the Draft.
Your thought process is flawed because of the desperation it relies on.
None of us know enough details to draw such a conclusion but I'm sure it won't stop some folks.
I’m not squirming. I know he’s going to be extended in a weeks time.
I really thought this was obvious stuff. Its funny to read when you compare Mahomes to Dak. One has at least won a Super Bowl. You get paid for what you do and accomplish not what other people get. Yes there is a "position pay" but there is elite, tier 2 tier 3 and so forth.
Don't know why. Not everyone is eaten up w/ greed. This is such a team friendly deal, it's unbelievable. I have a really hard time actually believing it.
On a 500m+ contract over 12 years if you can get out of the deal after year 4 for approx 40m or 39m in year 5 then yes it is a team friendly deal and remember you mention many times 42m to keep and 42m to release etc except the 42m to keep also means he is playing that season for the 42m so it is not dead money. The year to look at for that deal is the one big year you mention which is 2026 the big decision will be made then. If they don't want to pay the 60m they will have to release Mahomes that year to avoid guaranteeing the roster bonus for 2027 (which is 50m the) so the dead cap money becomes the roster bonus for 2026 (38.5m) which was guaranteed in 2025. The Chiefs have all the leverage and very little risk in this deal. It doesn't really mean that much because barring a career ending injury or Mahomes just out of the blue losing all his ability, he will most likely play out this entire deal

in the 2nd link there is a breakdown of what and how the guarantees work, his salary is not guaranteed every year only some years what is guaranteed every year is the roster bonus
Haha you crack me up.Go get educated. Properly. Understand what QBR stands for and why. Then get back to me.
Yes, it is a serious post.Is this a serious post? Seriously, asking cause I feel like I am missing something here.
Uhhh, because Dak is a top 5 franchise QB for my beloved Dallas Cowboys?Haha you crack me up.
Why do you love Prescott so much? (serious question)
All rookie team only compares rookies vs rookies. Hence the award being called " All rookie team". That doesn't put them on an equal level with players on the All-pro team, unless of course they actually make the All-Pro squad
It really is after the 1st 3 years his deal basically becomes a 2 year deal at a time. For every year they pick up the roster bonus they guarantee the next year...that's it, so if they pick up the roster bonus in 2024 then 2025 becomes guaranteed, so assumming he played in 2024 then they wanted to cut him for 2025 his roster bonus for 2025 would become the cap hit
