Archer says Romo has 2 fractures ***Merged***

Well it's part of the spine, but it's the little piece that sticks out of the side.

You seem to be trying to lessen the severity of this and maybe it isn't anything serious it is being reported he could still play with it. But let's face it with him undergoing back surgery this past offseason and still having shown affects of it this season this latest news doesn't sound very good. We're just getting wind of this so we'll have to see what else is reported in the next day or two. I kind of figured we weren't being told everything so we'll just have to hold our breath and hope this doesn't end up being a season ender for Romo.

Mr glass? Dude you sound dense. Vertebra in his back is injured so he gets season ending surgery. Next season he gets rimmed right into his back and gets a stress fracture and that means he's made of glass? Darn if only everyone could be made out of steel like you buddy.

Thanks Jstopper your post made my day

and you sound uneducated. Its a broken piece of bone that stabilizes muscle and tendons in back that provide stability to spinal cord. How you think that is a non issue for guy who recently had two back surgeries is beyond me.

It forms a fibrous union and/or new bone or there is just a non-union. It's not a huge deal now or later but pain and immobility/dysfunction will create any limitations.

My question is...would missing 3 games be enough for something like that to heal? I don't think so. Maybe the doctor could insert a little super glue with a small needle and glue that sucker back up!!!

You don't need to be a doctor to understand what the injury it.

So you already understand the injury? Have you examined him? We're still not sure if we've gotten the entire story on this yet. For the past week we thought it was just a bruise.

It's a fracture not a break...sorry to burst your bubble.

I think the idea is that although the injury is considered to be minor on its own, the fact that its ANOTHER back injury for Romo is what some are concerned about.

It's also a little worrisome that this was initially a "contusion" Monday night. Now, it's two small fractures.

Were the X-Rays not able to pick up fractures? And could this possibly be the reason things were so quiet once the MRI was done?

lol Dude spare me the BS. Going off of what is being reported, the injury is no big deal. It's not about being a doctor. It's about going with what we're being told and using common sense and knowledge of said injury.

I would rather lose these two games with Weeden than get Romo hurt for the season by playing him now. I want Romo as healthy as possible for that Thanksgiving game against the Eagles. It's good he gets a game to knock off the rust against the Giants before playing Philly.
