Why would he want his grandson to play somewhere where the quarterbacks get blamed for the lack of a running, defensive problems and special teams problems? Dallas is the only place quarterbacks get blamed for things beyond their control.

Just ask Romo and Dak.

Did you see Dak play this season? He will have us right where we need to be.
Unfortunately, we won't last long enough on the field and will be home once again with some sort of injury.
We can only hope our back-up is worse than Rush at that given time.

Wrong. Dallas isnt winning the superbowl because Dak cant make it past the Wild Card round. To win the superbowl you have to first make it to the superbowl.
Dak 3 consecutive wins in the playoffs..............

You can't fix stupid. If he's on the board Booger will say something like, "we really wanted him. I was ready to hand in the card, but we realized we had greater need at tight end, punter, and mostly we felt we needed a kick off specialist with more upside. Besides, where will he play? We have Qak. I'm good with that."
greatest post of your career here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How many years until Manning is in the draft? 2? 3? This is such a non-story.

well First off I'm a Longhorn fan and I got to tell you right now we need to see arch manning play in college FIRST..

I mean right now he's being held back by his head coach who refuses to acknowledge that Quinn is average and can't play in big games consistently, he has nothing special to offer but being a system quarterback .. that's how most of us feel about Quinn but until we see how arch handles Texas and the SEC, there's no reason to be trying to skip ahead to the NFL...

that's funny because at the beginning of this year we all were hearing about Quinn being a Heisman Trophy candidate in a pro prospect I've watched it for three years I don't see any of that so let's not believe the hype and I've been wanting Arch to play this year he should have played more than the injury games.

IMHO Sarkeesian is actually trying to avoid the fan favorite bringing in the quarterback for two or three series or more a game , for complete series, like get the guy in, Get Arch playing in all the games because he doesn't want the blowback in the controversy when fans find out when arch gets a little bit of rhythm and gets comfortable he's going to look a lot better than Quinn and that's my opinion there's no other reason why you wouldn't pull it you're struggling quarterback your starter when he's not playing well at all when he's injured you don't even take him out you just run the ball 24 straight times but why wouldn't you put arch in? in that case you guys got a bad ankle, and you leave him in the game?

That's a conspiracy theorist from live view Sark is trying to avoid the quarterback controversy,

but until there's actual evidence that arch can actually play at a high level why are we talking about the NFL if he does get that far and he is a top prospect are they going to try to pull the same thing that John Elway and Eli pulled are they going to be able to control that because I don't even think Dion is going to end up being able to control where his kid goes I know they're going to try but you don't control the draft you only have those certain moments where they were able to do so but most are not going to do it and don't have the power to do it....

So sometimes you just end up where you end up and you make the best of it if you're that good you will change your team from bad to good... I mean aren't they a New Orleans southern like lineage wouldn't they want to play for the Saints or add in Atlanta all could use a good quarterback but yes Dallas by that time will be probably picking a new quarterback...

Maybe he should be the starter for his college team first.

Baby steps there Archie.
Yeah I'm a Longhorn fan but if you watch this is on the head coach he's afraid in my opinion of putting arch in every game at least two to four series like full series not bring him in just to run the ball once and pull him out he's afraid of the quarterback controversy if you see his teammates and and based away they embrace arch I think they're afraid that when he looks better they're gonna have a problem so he's been holding arts back so I get what you're saying we need to see what he actually does as a full time starter but it's not his fault that's on the head coach..

Like I said I've watched all the games the last two seasons and he's being held back on purpose I think in his mind the very deep back of his head coach's mind they don't want that they don't wanna quarterback controversy because they made promises to Quinn and his family and they don't want to put that kind of pressure on him because you know what Quinn can't handle the pressure he's a system quarterback he's overrated and yet there's possibly a better player on the bench and you won't even bring him in for two full series 1/2 get him involved in these bigger games early and let them both play I mean you can make Quinn the starter but there's a reason this isn't happening when is not better I've watched but the only way to prove it is him playing and his head coach has been holding him back..

If you need further proof I mean it's right there two games ago it was clear right before halftime that Quinn had a pretty bad ankle injury and he couldn't throw the ball in the third quarter to save his life they decided to run the ball like 20 straight times literally won the game on the run game but they never pulled him out I mean you got a guy with a bad ankle with a big game coming up against the Aggies and you don't even let arch in to finish the game you know what tells me I mean you don't think arts can hang the ball up that's a joke I mean if that's all you intended to do was almost never throw the rest of the second-half you don't wanna quarterback controversy because you know the better he looks the more the fan base and the players start to chant Manning's name a lot trust me I watch the games he is a big time energy guy when he comes in his teammates and the the fans I mean it just raises a level of anticipation and I don't think Sark wants that...

Or maybe the coach knows more than you do and that is why Manning is not the starter

He finagled Eli away from San Diego and to NY. I guess he has some pull.
Well that that's a perfect storm it happened with Elway as well get me I mean I can't remember who the other player was but you have to both have two teams willing to do it and it have to be both in what the top five to make it make sense I mean the Cowboys would have to be picking that high as well and then whoever may have had the second choice being within striking distance would have to agree to it you can't force it and today's NFL is a lot different it hasn't been done since Eli and it's only been done twice....

Wow you talk about getting fleeced I mean the Colts got robbed I mean I don't know those names and maybe I just don't remember I mean is any of those guys turn out to be anything but to get john elway who refused to play for you and that's all you got back? At least with Eli I believe it was rivers right I mean that was a good swap I mean rivers was a great quarterback...

In 1983, the Baltimore Colts traded quarterback John Elway to the Denver Broncos for:
  • Offensive tackle Chris Hinton
  • Quarterback Mark Herrmann
  • A first-round pick in 1984, guard Ron Solt
Elway refused to play for the Colts. The 1983 NFL Draft was historic, with six quarterbacks selected in the first 27 picks. Other quarterbacks drafted in 1983

I, too, am a UT fan, and I completely agree with you regarding Ewers!! From the little work I've seen from Manning, I think he is the better QB. Sarkesian is very stubborn man, and when Ewers was limping around during that game, he refused to get him out of there and put Arch in!! That's just crazy!! I can't wait for Manning to be the starter next season. Then we can see if he's truly going to be a good QB in the NFL.
