I do it because he needed someone to defend him. And at the time I felt some of the blame was unjust. Do I enjoy the argument. Of course. I like playing devils advocate and taking the underdog role if it’s something I can get behind.
but seriously, my previous posts not withstandingYes or no.
Please keep the discussion related to the topic of this thread.
He doesn't get that basically you've been saying that coaches like garrets, the puppets, are the symptom and that Jerrah is the actual disease.
Who was worse. Jerry or Garrett. I chose to defend Jason over Jerry. I felt for a long time Jason was influencing decisions in building a better team but I always left myself the out that there was still some coaching flaws. Game Day wasn’t Garrett’s strength or his greatest contribution. I guess you missed some of those discussions. All of it is true and no one has denied it. None of that changes the fact that Garrett was horrid.
Changing the subject to Jerry is simply a deflection of that reality.
And what’s wrong with that ? I’ve never wavered that. This is a forum. We debate issues. I took one and argued the hell out of it. I believed Garrett was the best puppet we’d had. And went to bat for him. You interpreted it as though I thought he was a good coach.Diehards exact words right here:

No. The defense's holes are just too glaring to ignore.
Love is a strong word. I wouldn’t describe as such. I don’t have those type of attachments with sports figures. I understand this generation likes to use hate and love loosely. At least you are honest about it.
Well, you have to live with your choices. And if that pegs you as a guy that loved Garrett then you have to now deal with that. Denying it doesn't make you look good.
Well I've been on record as saying that it doesn't matter what the name of the puppet is, when Jerry hires one, be it Garret, Gaily, Campo, Wade, etc, that a puppet by any other name is still a puppet. That is not to say that Jerry only hires puppets, every once in awhile after losing a certain amount of times he hires a good coach like The Tuna. Maybe Diehard may have said something that he prefer the puppet he knows versus a new puppet that set you off, and that was before the latest hire, but I've read enough of his posts here to know that he didn't really like Garrett either. It is more that he didn't think that Jerrah would hire anyone better. Also, hiring Mike is a step in the right direction, and certainly preferable to Garrett, but lets wait and see if he is going to be that guy who led greenbay to a championship. I mean chances are he might become a puppet here as well. I mean I'd wait before I proclaim that the cowboys will win two or more playoff games in a season, because carrot top is gone and Mike is in his place...

Like I have said. I stand by my comments and support of Garrett on certain issues. Buy you always want to lump it all into one ball to serve your argument.

Wrong with it? Picking the unpopular side just to argue is what trolls do.
And when you defend a coach that doesn't deserve it the way you did, it paints the wrong message apparently.
You now claim you didn't think Garrett was a good coach. But since you like him personally you decided to stick up for him for 10 years?
That's all just weird troll type behavior. It makes you look like you don't understand the game of football.
That’s your opinion. I’m ok with it. Is that going to be your defense every time we have a discussion on any subject? If so you might want to ignore me. Cause I’m not going to be derailed with your personal attacks.LOL...you supported Garrett. End of story. And looked foolish doing it.
That’s your take. And I’ll have to live with that. It certainly wasn’t my intention although I did enjoy the debate. Haven’t you noticed.
There's all types of trolling. I’ve been guilty of some. But Trolls always attempt to attack and insult others to discredit their messages and points. Which you are guilty of as well.
Every time we get into these arguments that’s always your out because you don’t want to take on the argument. Which appears to be a trait of yours. Just insulting others if they don’t agree with you. The worst kind of Troll.
