Are the Cowboys okay on the O-line?

You know Cowboy fans have been spoiled with greatness on the OLine when they are wondering if the current OLine is OK. Of course it's OK. It's just not miraculous like we are used to

now we have to settle for the next level...

the Center we drafted isn’t ready.

3 of the starters can’t play.

step it up Philbin.

have any of them missed a game in 2020? cant play is hyperbole.. step back from the ledge

Looney played in 2018 odd we made it to the 2nd round of the playoffs that year..he will be fine and TB will play down the road who knows mid season or if looney gets hurt we have our future center..

the dinged up cautionary missing tackles will be there game 1 and LG will be settled by then.. as phillly what REAL emergency's are when you have IR season enders not TC reported boo boos

Again people are wasting their time on this with Duncan. He was a big apologist for the previous staff.

So to express his bitterness he’s going to exaggerate and be ridiculously critical of the new staff as a way to vent his disappointment that the old gang isn’t still here.

Garrett is gone. We have a professional coaching staff. Not worried..

Over rated. Unless you're talking about right before taking a sack pressure. Because I've good QBs pressured all game and still win.
Pressure is quantifiable. Buddy ryan's gang green was the definition of pressure. So much so that numerous rule changes were implemented to protect qb's. A sack is always good. Pressure that forces a pick is better.

Well sure a pick is better. What rule changes were made due to pressure?

Poor wording on my part. Mostly about where a defender can contact a qb. Blows to the head or face are personal fouls, but don't always result in sacks.

Our bookends were back at practice today and looked fine in limited reps per multiple tweets

Oh ok. No impaction contract to the legs either.

I'm pretty sure a blow to the quarterbacks head could always get you a personal foul. After all, that's what got the raiders to the Super Bowl in 1980.

I wish I shared your optimism. I'm seeing disaster just waiting to happen to the offense because the O-line can't effectively do their job. It's going to be reminiscent of the Atlanta game in 2017. Aaron Donald is going to have a great day feasting on Dak meat.
Aaron Donald had one of his worst games statistically in the Cowboys - Rams playoff game from the 2018 season.

In that game:
LT Tyron
LG Connor Williams (Rookie)
OC Looney
RG Martin
RT La'el

The backup OT started 8 games at LT last season for the Super Bowl champion KC Chiefs...

# 1 #2 # 4 #5 All signed long term contracts.
Munch on that and make sure you don't choke....:omg:

P.S. Rumor has it Gil is suffering from dementia due to old age.

Intentional derailing of the thread topic...

It seems the Cowboys are so riddled with injury on the O-line that they may not be able to execute their deeper routes that require plays to develop downfield. Short passes and handing the ball off is all I see them being able to do successfully. Am I seeing this wrong? Please discuss.
The OLine is Biadasz.....

They definitely took some hits, but they’re still top 5.

Lines around the league have been mostly pretty the last several years though.

I would look for when teams make their cuts and snatch a decent offensive lineman , also next years draft should include an off lineman, pass rusher and (dat dat da dat ) Safety.

The Patriots, under belichik, have stockpiled superbowl trophies uding a system predicated on short passes and quick releases by the qb. Given the abilities of cooper, gallup and lambo, i think we'll be fine while the o- line heals.
Unfortunately that needs a Brady and Edleman combo , Hopefully Lamb can develop into that role, but Dak ? Quick accurate passes over the middle ( on the stride , not behind) ??? I m not sure.
