I am quite sure unless he becomes slow, gets the dropsies, loses his strength, and stops running good routes that he will be just fine.
How good who knows?
My only fear (not for him, but for this board) is that his production has been so off the charts good that it is completely unsustainable, and of course that means it is only a matter of time until the "idiots" turn on him.
i think i'm pretty close to you here. he puts up back to back phenominal games and i'm willing to bet when he can't sustain this (and who could?) many of these "idiots" will then want trade bait.
the IGS is one of the biggest pains in the arse to common sense i've ever met. (IGS = instant gratification society, the group that has somehow long the ability to wait things out over time and it all must be decided NOW).
austin has done very well the last 2 games. but these are *extreme* examples of success and while pretty and pumps us all up, he'll have his bad days too.
like i said before, romo came out in a dream. hikes over his head turned into long runs for a gain. he could simply do no wrong.
now he can't do anything right.
if you live by the minute changes along the way to determine ultimate value, you're just a fool.
