Are we that far off talent wise from the Giants?

And we were less than a TD from losing to the Giants.

What's potentially special about them is the young man at QB......he didn't get the memo that he's supposed to lose to us twice a year

Let's revisit this after that game
I’m the one that made the thread saying we and the Giants aren’t far lol. Commanders aren’t either. Eagles aren’t either. All the same caliber of teams right now. They are all literally separated by one win lol.

Daniels is gonna be special some day but on can’t say he’s special today. He had a great game the other day though.

This thread in a nutshell: Make the Giants seem better than they are, to make yourself feel better about the Cowboys subpar performance...

Thibadeaux, Dex, Nabers are studs..Adoree Jackson would be the 3rd best corner on this team, and even Jourdan Lewis might have something to say about that. People here would be clamoring for a new rb if Singletary was the lead back. There is a wide gap in talent in the two teams.

I thought we would slaughter Giants. I am extremely concerned about our team this year. If Barclay was on the Giants they probably would have won. We were fairly evenly matched other than QB where we are superior. I don't know if we are that bad, or they are that good. Time will tell. I'm kind of anxious to see us against Washington, and Philadelphia.
I knew it would be a close game and yes if they had Barkley they probably would have won. If he stays healthy he’s going to be a huge problem when we face Philly. However, an injury is bound to pop up with him. We better hope it happens before we play them.

The Giants are (mostly) being held back by Danny "Dimes". I have no idea why they keep hitching their trailer to that guy, but he is just not good. If they could go out and find themselves a QB, they'd make some more noise.

Yet San Fran traded multiple picks and paid McCaffery big money. Meanwhile we trot out Rico Dowdle and Giants Singletary…..

Vikings spent money on Aaron Jones, Texans spent money on Mixon, Philly on Barkley, GB on Jacob’s…..all of a sudden RB matters,
RB matters if you have high end players at multiple positions or if you have a high level QB playing on a rookie deal unfortunately Dallas has neither to this point only a GM who keeps telling us his players are all high level talent

It’s his second contract and most teams do it if they think he will improve to franchise level most teams will not do that for a third time if there’s nothing to show for the investment

No he wouldn't Barkley was there for all the losses they had against Prescott... He was not truly a difference maker enough to say that... Don't say it's a different year because now you're bringing in hypotheticals for a player who's not even there so I get to say it's untrue I don't see it.. We did everything they could to sell out to stop the run and we gave up passes and we played too deep safety to keep everything underneath and it actually worked because when you play A2 deep safety like that you let them have underneath stuff and then when it tightens up in the red zone you snuff it out...

The difference was our quarterback you're right in the above statement and we will have him again and I don't care what they do they can play the games close it was on three days rest, we just simply have their number with or without Barkley or no matter who's playing quarterback for them, with Dak we are 100% against the Gnats and Barkly on 3 days rest..

You’re just trying to take a shot at Dak. No one in their right mind says RB only matters if you have a high level QB. If anything it’s the opposite Mahomes gets by with Pacheco….Josh Allen had Singletary. If your guy is a bum like you think Dak is why on earth would you share this opinion?

I would not put Singletary in the category of “ weapon “. They get zero from the TE position . As I was watching the game it seemed DaBoll was a liability . Dallas should have scored more than 20 .

Well I say Singletary because he’s superior to anything we have at running back. He’s not Henry or Kamara but Dowdle and Zeke aren’t Singletary.

Dowdle outrushed him . I’ve said over and over give Dowdle at least 15 attempts per game let the running game get some flow .
Elliott might be better served red zone some pass plays .

Please learn to read and understand what is written. Nowhere did I mention Dak as for RB what happened to your take of they grow on trees. So let’s see pay a QB 60 a wr 35 a RB 15 a LT 26 a RT 11 a rg 18 a LG 18 a TE 10 a soon to be LB 25 or so CB 18 a second CB 18 brilliant then you would complain about the D sucks you’re such a brilliant GM I shocked you don’t have a NFL job. Unfortunately with your lack of reading comprehension you missed the point.

I just haven’t seen enough of Dowdle to say he’s better than Singletery but I don’t think he’s the back to come in without rhythm went just to off. Backs need time to get rhythm which is why I wasn’t a fan of this rb carousel to begin with.

I don’t recall saying they grow on trees but if they do maybe the Cowboys should actually go to a tree and get one rather then the bargain bin or the graveyard.

I didn’t miss your point I just don’t agree with it. You guys get so up in arms when someone doesn’t agree with you and resort to comprehension.

This is also not how salaries work. You can structure deals to hit differently each year. Lamb deal won’t be 35 million every year.

I didn’t need a Barkley. I could’ve been satisfied with a running back in the draft or a JK Dobbins or Aaron Jones or Ekeler.

I never claim to be a GM but I know I wouldn’t have came into this season with no running back, no DB depth and two rookie offensive linemen….if that makes me a bad GM oh well.
