Are we that far off talent wise from the Giants?

I don’t recall saying they grow on trees but if they do maybe the Cowboys should actually go to a tree and get one rather then the bargain bin or the graveyard.

I didn’t miss your point I just don’t agree with it. You guys get so up in arms when someone doesn’t agree with you and resort to comprehension.

This is also not how salaries work. You can structure deals to hit differently each year. Lamb deal won’t be 35 million every year.

I didn’t need a Barkley. I could’ve been satisfied with a running back in the draft or a JK Dobbins or Aaron Jones or Ekeler.

I never claim to be a GM but I know I wouldn’t have came into this season with no running back, no DB depth and two rookie offensive linemen….if that makes me a bad GM oh well.
Dead money doesn’t matter, right. Those rookie contracts are what make the other salaries semi manageable that’s what you get when you pay top money for players. I stayed on topic you threw in Dak and it doesn’t matter at this point he’s here for 4 years minimum so now build around him because the cap is myth and you push all those salaries down the road and win now, how’s that working for you.

It’s his second contract and most teams do it if they think he will improve to franchise level most teams will not do that for a third time if there’s nothing to show for the investment
I'll be curious if he will be their starter next year (despite the contract). Their GM said a few things during Hard Knocks, that if you read between the lines, basically deciphered to him being on his last shot.

I do think he'd make a great backup. I just haven't seen much to suggest he is a franchise QB.

I don’t see it next year between injuries and not so great play his time is limited. I expect a new HC and staff unless they do a deep playoff run.

So how is it working for Philly? They don’t have a qb on a rookie deal….

He was when he played in the SB. How soon you forget. So he deserves a second contract. But there’s dead money coming, heck Zeke is taking up 8 million in cap and you wonder why they dumpster dive for RBs. Dak did nothing so far and he’s on contract 3 and Jerry is happy with waiting for him to carry the team. I gave you numbers for players yet you just ignore them because it doesn’t fit your narrative. 16 million in dead money hurts for mistakes made in contracts. There’s cap space left but Daks 95 million hit next year has to come from somewhere. Large contracts come with risk and down side but you all just think you do what ever you want with the cap, MP is going to want close to 30 million a year do the math and tell us cap guru what does the rest of the team look like paying 4-5 players 1/2 the cap. I know just kick it down the road and the cap will cover it

How soon do I forget what? I’m talking about m Saquon Barkley lol. You said you can’t spend on a running back unless you have a high value qb on a rookie deal….he is not on a rookie deal when they have Barkley his deal…..

If Eagles can pay Hurts, Dickerson, Lane, AJ, Devonta….Cowboys can pay 4-5 guys and still sign a JK Dobbins. I didn’t know you guys really believe that crap Jerry spews lol.

Daniel Jones connects on some of those deep passes last night, we lose the game
Which ones ? He only went deep for maybe 2 passes for the game. They lost because they couldn't run against the worst run defense in the league.

Giants recent draft positions:

2018 - #2 overall

2019 - #6 overall

2020 - #4 overall

2022 #5 and #7 overall

2024 #6 overall

During that same time period the Cowboys have had a #12 pick and a #17 pick overall.

Free agency and salary caps bring enough parity to the league. They should change the draft system to a complete lottery. Last place team gets 32 chances, 2nd to last gets 31 and so forth.
