My issue has always been, present a better option. Present a better plan, idea or a direction and sure...not that we have control, but at that point then everyone can join with wanting the team to move on.

But most of the ideas have been bad. Trading up for Zach Wilson in 2020...god that would have been horrible. Trade for Baker Mayfield? No. Tank for a QB? Another bad idea

We were in an in between area where realistically, Dak was the best we were going to be able to do. Barring finding another Dak Prescott in the later rounds

He's always imo been good enough that if everything goes right...we could win a SB

This year, he may be good enough that we don't need everything to go right.
This is the first time he's had a playcaller who is designing the O around what suits him best. JG and KMo were notorious for simply calling what they wanted and expecting the QB to fit his game into their narrative.

Now if Dak plays against San Fran in the playoffs again and performs like he did in week 5, who was right/wrong in the Dak debate?
the problem with this is its not tennis, its the ultimate team game, who is the better team? would you say the Cowboys have the better roster other than QB?...the Dak debate is crazy because it holds a singal player to unrealistic expectations in the ultimate team sport...

If it makes you feel better in his six playoff games he has only had one poor performance (2021 SF), One average performance ( 2022 SF), while the rest have been strong.

So if by "this many" you mean one, then okay!
well that's your opinion, poorly conceived as it is... but at least we know which category to put you in.

I mean

Bad:
32.4 QBR

Average:
53.1 QBR

Good - Great:
Tampa 96.8
Seattle 72.5
Rams 84.4
GB 73.6

I guess it would be up to you to prove that you're not in the wrong.

The Dak haters for sure. But it’s not that black and white. They told us we can’t win with Dak and he sucks. They told us Moore made him.

You are lol
Wrong. Ive been a fan since the 90s. Why would i root for my team’s qb to play poorly.

Now what im not gonna do is lie and pretend hes something he is not (in my own opinion) just because he plays for the Cowboys.

When he plays well, I praise him. When he plays poorly, ima let it be known. All of this is documented in my posting history.

I eat my Dak Flap Jacks at the Waffle House. Thanks for introducing the new term, this place is way too binary lately or so people make it out to be.

Is Dak playing by himself? What kind of nonsense are you trying to send?

I said if DAK played poorly…

Where am i losing you?

Or are you one of those people that think a QB (Dak) can never play poorly because its everybody elses fault?
I don't blame everything on the QB. Team sport champ. Or are you one of those guys who think nothing else factors into a performance?

I like Dak, but I judge everything by results. Always. Business, school, investments, relationships, everything.

Not numbers. Results. Real results that matter.

Until he shows up in the playoffs against the real contenders, I don't trust him. If and once he does, then I will.

It's so simple. That's the litmus test, period.

I only ask this question because before last years loss to San Fran I was one of the biggest Dak lovers known to man. I appreciated his leadership, his demeanor, as well skill-set he possessed. I would argue with dudes like @Risen Star but to no avail guys like him already proclaimed Dak will NEVER get it done. I fought tooth and nail to at least talk some sense into these non-believers but obviously I never got anywhere.

After Dak failed to deliver against San Fran and I saw the deer in the headlights look after being strangled by the niners I began to believe that maybe Dak did suffer from some metal problems that at the end of the day he might not be able to overcome when the chips are down. I knew that injuries, coaching and scheme played a big part and I was first to not be a fan of Kellen "the beaver" Moore, but I still let doubt creep in. I started to think maybe Dak really doesn't have the mental capabilities to rise up when needed.

fast forward to this season. As I watched Dak struggle some this year it became obvious that he was playing like Drew Bledsoe and was becoming a statue. The Dak that we all loved in his rookie season would take a few steps back and release the ball the open guy, it was almost like he was playing in the west coast offense from the moment he took the field. As time progressed he ran less and less and one of the most infuriating things for me to watch was his inability to actually step up in the pocket to avoid the rush while still hitting an open man. These seemed like things that all Qb's should be able to do but Dak just kept his eyes glued and starred down his receivers... Obviously this concept doesn't work for Dak and it's a recipee for disaster.

If what we're seeing right now is our Cowboys new reality when it comes to Dak, we might really be onto something here! Dak is now getting rid of the ball again to open man or buying time with his feet to find another. To my untrained eye, I have to say that Big Mike might be the only coach to have taught him something he can sink his teeth into. I want to believe in Dak, I really do, I think he is an awesome dude...

Signed,

Dak Lover turned Dak Waffler reincarted as a Dak believer
The script is written so far the only way to change it is for Dak to win something that matters when the wins count in go home or keep playing. Anything less than a SB appearance is another lost season, like it or not it’s what it is. Daks failures has generated most of like/dislike and that’s pretty standard regardless of the team, he’s played great at times but we’ve seen this for 7 plus seasons.
