Typically people like to be able to directly notice what the HC brings to the team. The D is on Quinn. The offense, whatever you think about it, is on Moore. So what exactly does McCarthy, specifically, bring to this team other than poor clock management?

You obviously don't understand the role and importance of a HC and you obviously don't understand coordinators call plays but the HC creates the game plan, for each game. They run and coordinate practice drills, team meetings and coordination, etc. These are just a few job basics. So I will not say anything further.

Once you make the playoffs it’s a crap shoot. Every team is capable of winning (obviously some have better chances than others). It’s hard to complain at this point but I’m sure many will.
bhahahhahahahahah..... sure, thats how people judged the last coach... just get in and then it is a crapshoot...lol

If the HC doesn't bring much if anything to the team, how could you have anything against Garrett?

Again, I'm happy to be educated... What does he, specifically, bring to this team? If you can't answer that beyond the team having a good record, then it's not a ringing endorsement.

Obviously he deserves credit but, IYO, what specifically do you feel he brings?
Unless, you’re intimately involved with the everyday operation of the team, you cannot expect anyone on the outside realistically answer your question. I can only go by the success of the team, which record is a big indicator.

You started the conversation that he manages the clock and that’s about it. These guys aren’t paid millions to just manage the clock, that’s a very safe assumption I can make.

You’ve waffled from MM not really deserving credit to he deserves credit. Hmmm

Of course if the team has a good record, the HC deserves some credit for that. Maybe a lot, depending on the HC. But when I try to think of what he specifically brings to the team, I'm not sure what that is.

What we DO know is he has questionable clock management skills, and we're THE most penalized team in the league. Also the team's level of preparedness for a given game seems to vary wildly.

Where did I say HC's don't bring much? What are you on about? lol

You said "The D is on Quinn. The offense, whatever you think about it, is on Moore. So what exactly does McCarthy, specifically, bring to this team other than poor clock management"

What else would that statement mean? Sounds like you're inferring MM brings nothing to the game but poor clock management, and the OC and DC do everything else.
Did I misunderstand?

That statement does not say HC's don't do much, nor does it even hint at that. I asked what he BRINGS, not what he does.

What does he BRING to this team that makes it better?

Looking around the league today, there are only a few coaches I’d want as HC over McCarthy, and 1-2 college coaches. So yes, I’m satisfied with Mike for now. He’s had our team pretty much comfortably in the playoffs and in the division driver's seat for weeks.

92% happy in one poll and 82% happy in the other poll......those two results are really killing the narrative that there’s “so many negative people here”

The players talk about it all the time. I have a question for you then. What did Jimmy Johnson bring to the Cowboys? He wasn't the offensive or defensive coordinator so what did he bring exactly? And whatever your answer is is what MM brings to the Cowboys.

Did we have clock management issues, wildly varying levels of preparedness and lead the league in penalties under Jimmy? I was young back then, so I don't remember.

And again, I'm not saying he doesn't do a lot. I'm asking what you think he brings to this team. And so far, nobody has given me a direct answer.

As it stands, none of us are in the organization so none of us knew what either brought to the table. We only knew results. But off the top of my head and from an outside observer, he brings offensive and defensive adjustments to both units, as mentioned by various players and coaches. He brings an aggressiveness that the prior regime didn’t bring. He brings preparedness and belief within the players.

He’s exclusively about winning, and his players love him. He doesn’t run his team on politics, the best guy plays. He allows his players to play and his coaches to coach.

He knows how to manage players, coaches, and most importantly, Jerry Jones. Now my next question to you is, who would you rather have had, “the we could actually get”, that you think can handle all I just mentioned and is a guaranteed lock to win a championship? I’m interested in that guy
