I don't think it matters with Jerry, just change for the sake of change. It would be a different story with a real GM, but here we are hoping the next coach can pull a rabbit out of his hat!

I’m just confused. After the Garrett debacle I could have sworn Jerry said something to the effect that he’d never let it fester or get that bad again. So we have 5 yrs and a losing seasin after a playoff beat down and they reason for the resign is basically “they played hard?” Honestly this is why there was team tank because you can’t get a dumber organization
all Jerry remembers is the (3) 12 win seasons

People need to Boycott the Cowboys until Dak and Fat Mike are gone.nobody has any interest in who even comes in to coach because Trash Prescott is still here. By the way, didn't he promise Jerry a SB during contract negotiations.

Why would he want to stay?
I've wondered about that. Best thing I can thing of is he's comfortable. Coming from Green Bay it's like a lateral move since the GM handed him players and he ran the team.

If all he wants is to be a figurehead. Coach, he has the most cush job available. If he wants to put his stamp on a team he should leave.

Or maybe he loves the Dallas area?

Most of the fan boys have jumped ship and don’t post anymore at least.
That's because lover boy is injured. When he got injured they stopped posting.

But when lover boy comes out dancing on the field, sky pointing during games, they will be here like a gang of wolves.

The most prominent one that quit posting months ago (it’s who you think it is) DM’d me a couple weeks ago calling me names lolololol

I would not know which one of the five or six of them are that DM'ed you. But I do know that insulting others is their habit if you say something about lover boy.

No. Five years is always a gracious period for any head coach.

Exactly.

We will all know the definitive answer to that question within the next five days.

Jimmy Johnson - 5 years
Barry Switzer - 4 years
Chan Gailey - 2 years
Dave Campo - 3 years
Bill Parcells - 4 years
Wade Phillips - 3 1/2 years
Jason Garrett - 9 years (not counting him as an interim)
Mike McCarthy - 5 years

Decaf coffee may be the best thing you could ever try..?

Ironically it was reported that the Cowboys wanted to hire Norv Turner as new HC, but he insisted on bringing dreaded DC Ted Cottrell here as his DC in Dallas,.. and management said " No "
That was the end of HC negotiations, and the Jerry surprisingly turned to Wade Phillips as new HC, ..after Jerry hired on Jason Garrett as new OC.

Another irony, is that Ted Cottrell ended up being a horrible DC with San Diego Chargers with Norv serving as HC.
