Or are you just jumping on the bandwagon because he had one good game...

If I recall correctly alot of people were throwing him under the bus when he played against the Giants. Me and others were Bashed because we seen his potential. But now all of a sudden everyone is on board.

Funny how things work.

For those that believed since day one know that this might not go as planned..He will have his ups and downs and we have to udnerstand that. The people that believed in him will know this...The badnwagoners and fairweather fans will jump ship the moment he has a bad game.

If there is one thing that pisses me off, It's Fans that jump on the wagon one day and jump off the next...

YOu know who you are!...Losers!:bang2:

I remember almost everyone being happy about his NYG game so maybe you're not talking about people on this board?

Really a supporter here. I hated to see Drew benched but once Dallas made the move I stated good or bad we needed to stick with Romo and give him a fair chance. I expect Romo will have his bad days all QB's do but I would hope he will show consistency in his play and have a lot more good games than bad ones.

Individual fans jumping on and off TR's jock is irrelevant. Romo will meet the same fate as every NFL QB since the league began - adored if he plays well, pilloried if he doesn't. Very little middle ground or perspective..but all these QBs tell us at one time or another that 'it comes with the territory'.

The only one I am dying to see become a vocal Romo supporter is Jerry. I understand, tho didn't share, his feeling that having to bench a seasoned QB represented a 'step backward' for the season. But that remark kinda ticked me off, because JJ has long supported young homegrown products over 'retreads'. Even when they didn't 'deserve' it.

Romo two weeks ago was far more NFL ready that Drew Henson was two years ago on Thanksgiving Day - I'd like to see the same level of support for Tony now that Drew got then.

Carter, Hutch, Henson..JJ was vocally behind all of them. Perhaps I am being unfair to JJ (and it is HIS team), but the rah rah cheerleader stuff has been decidedly lacking when it comes to Tony. Why, I do not know.

So you think he will have his ups and downs, but you post an "I told you so" thread after one game where he played well... A little premature, doncha think?

I can only speak for myself here, though. I NEVER bashed someone for saying they "saw potential" in Romo. I saw it too. I bashed for numerous things, among them... saying Romo was definitely better than Bledsoe when you hadn't seen him play, or saying Romo was going to be the next Brady, Favre, Montana (insert your HOF QB here...).

I'm optimistic about Romo, but cautiously so... If you want to bash me for defending Bledsoe before Romo came in, that's fine. But the truth of the matter is you knew very little about Romo before he started. Pretending now that you "called it" is juvenile and premature IMO.

The thing I want more than anything is wins for the Cowboys. Whoever I think can get that done is who I support. I don't regret not thinking that Romo was immediately going to come in and take us to the playoffs. I'm still not so sure about that. I'd love to be proven wrong, but I'll have to see more before I make that prediction.

I support him because he has a star on his helmet. When the Star is gone, he is on his own.

I am supporting him and I was for making the move before BP actually did.

But.... I am not near confident enough in him to start saying I told you so. Not that I would do that anyway but it seems to be something that people always strive for on this board, the "I told you so's" anyway.

I hope his play removes any doubt in the search for a QB in Dallas for many years to come, because the debates are really old.

The board seemed to split on it....

I was for it when it happened at halftime vs. Giants.

I was happy when the Cowboys picked up Bledsoe last year, very good pickup. However, after seeing Romo in preseason and in the Giants game I was again energized. I saw a QB with the ability to move the team. Yes he threw 3 Ints against the Giants but he moved the team. Say what you want
I don't care if he throws 20 Ints this year, I like what I have seen in Romo.

Find this for me, please. You and the other guy who started a similar thread belly-aching about everyone jumping you because you liked what Romo showed need to find where this happened and link it up. Otherwise these chest-thumping "I was there from the start, I was so persecuted, look at me" posts are lame and baseless. Lots of people had justifiable concerns about Romo after his play against NY. There were few, if any throwing him under the bus unabashedly and calling for Bledsoe.

Find them.

I agree. I have a dream (Line from MLK) that one day I will come to this site and we will all be in agreement about the QB spot. Watching these QB debates has gotten old over the years. I will say this is the closest I have seen where the QB seems to have all around support from the fans on this board.

Is that it? No links? No proof that there was a litany of people calling for Romo's head, killing him in print? Nothing?

Just that I don't know what I'm talking about.

ok.

Well I admit I have not compared him to Brady or Montana yet I guess that could be construed as throwing him under the bus. :laugh2:

Trust me there were plenty of people saying he wont amount to anything but a career backup because of one half of football, saying he sucks.

I dont remember the Screen Names, but trust me there were plenty of people saying these things.

If you dont believe me then thats your loss
