Supporting because he is our starter and because I like his play.

Look at mine, and many others, posts following hte NY loss. Most of us were less angry about the loss just because of how Romo responded.

I was the one saying he had 230 yards and 2(?) TD's and one half, then getting burned with AND 3 INT'S!!!....

I've wanted him to start the Texan's game.

It's like this:

It was fun and exciting to watch the way Romo and the Boys played Sunday night against Carolina. I don't consider myself to be able to see into the future, so I don't know whether he'll play within himself like that every week, or whether he'll force balls and cause turnovers like he did against the Giants. I do know that life is more enjoyable when I'm looking forward to the game every weekend and expecting a Cowboys victory.

Or are you just jumping on the bandwagon because he had one good game...

If I recall correctly alot of people were throwing him under the bus when he played against the Giants. Me and others were Bashed because we seen his potential. But now all of a sudden everyone is on board.

Funny how things work.

For those that believed since day one know that this might not go as planned..He will have his ups and downs and we have to udnerstand that. The people that believed in him will know this...The badnwagoners and fairweather fans will jump ship the moment he has a bad game.

If there is one thing that pisses me off, It's Fans that jump on the wagon one day and jump off the next...

YOu know who you are!...Losers!:bang2:

If there's one thing that pisses me off it's stupid, meaningless threads like this one that have nothing to do with the cowboys or even the fans, but simply draw attention to someone with a need to be recognized. ;) hahaha.

When Parcells' decided to keep Romo and re-up his contract this summer, and we did not try and trade him, I knew there was something the staff saw that we didn't.

After pre-season, I was convinced that he should be the starter. If a person doesn't believe in him until they've seen something, I want them on board even if it's late. Who cares if they jump on at the last minute, just jump on!!

I don't believe anyone who said he was on the bandwagon two years ago... all he had done to that point was take a couple of kneeldowns. But they knew... WOW... I wish I had ESP

I have favored Romo since the end of the 2004 season. At that point, I thought Henson might have somehing, but Romo always got more praise in practice and seemed more comfortable in the role of NFL QB.

So you think he will have his ups and downs, but you post an "I told you so" thread after one game where he played well... A little premature, doncha think?

I can only speak for myself here, though. I NEVER bashed someone for saying they "saw potential" in Romo. I saw it too. I bashed for numerous things, among them... saying Romo was definitely better than Bledsoe when you hadn't seen him play, or saying Romo was going to be the next Brady, Favre, Montana (insert your HOF QB here...).

I'm optimistic about Romo, but cautiously so... If you want to bash me for defending Bledsoe before Romo came in, that's fine. But the truth of the matter is you knew very little about Romo before he started. Pretending now that you "called it" is juvenile and premature IMO.

The thing I want more than anything is wins for the Cowboys. Whoever I think can get that done is who I support. I don't regret not thinking that Romo was immediately going to come in and take us to the playoffs. I'm still not so sure about that. I'd love to be proven wrong, but I'll have to see more before I make that prediction.

feeling guilty, are we not? :laugh2:

All I know is that everyone that really believed in Romo will be there not only after a Win but also after a Loss.

Everyone knows where they stand...The Bandwagoners will pop up sooner or later.

Dont get mad about what I'm saying...That just shows you were one of those nay sayers.

Can't speak for others, but I want every player on the team to succeed. No one was happier than me he played well on Sunday even though after he threw the INT, I thought our season was over.

I must say though, I haven't seen any Drew supporter say "the worst thing that can happen is for Romo to have a good game" or ask if "anyone was happy Romo threw the INT against Carolina".

Good post.

I don't think there's any "real" Cowboy fan out there that doesn't want to see Romo succeed now that he's our starter.

I don't understand why there's so many on the board that cheer for the name on the back of the jersey over the name on the scoreboard.

I desperately want Romo to be the man....just as I wanted Anthony Wright to be the man....Ryan Leaf to be the man (bleh..)...Just as I wanted Quincy Carter, Chad Hutchinson, Quincy Carter (again), Vinny Testaverde, Drew Henson, and Drew Bledsoe to be the man.

I'm encouraged by what I saw Sunday night. And even though Romo threw three INTs in one half vs the Giants, I was encouraged by his play Monday night.

But to proclaim he's now, without question, our savior is a little premature. I've seen Carter and Hutchinson both throw for over 300 yards and at times look good. I've had my hopes up too many times to let one decent performance and one good performance make up my mind.

Does this mean I dislike Romo? Am I "throwing him under the bus" because I'm not sold on him yet?

No....I want him to do well.

i dont think anyones mad at your post, i think most people find it a little silly and so they are having fun yanking your chain. why care that people are up and down and change their minds week to week ?

i dont really care if somone says boo romo and then cheers him later. all i know is i had seen enough of bledsoe and so far i am enjoying watching #9 behind center.
