Are you really supporting Romo?

Trust me there were plenty of people saying he wont amount to anything but a career backup because of one half of football, saying he sucks.

I dont remember the Screen Names, but trust me there were plenty of people saying these things.

If you dont believe me then thats your loss

If there are plenty of people, it shouldn't take long to find their posts. Search the forum, we can give you a tutorial on advanced search if you like.

"Plenty of people" should be easy to find and call out specifically.

I was for it when it happened at halftime vs. Giants.

Bully for you.

The "I told you so" game that rules this board will continue on Tony as it does on every other player. This place reads like a monument to low self-esteem and the need to prop oneself up over trivia.

There were plenty of folks who didn't want TR as much as we wanted to see DB benched..even after this past preseason when he impressed everyone, I felt Romo was still too much of an 'unknown quantity' to understand his skill level. That he is displaying good vision and sound decision making is a thrill.

But there are only two folks who imo merit a Romo Backer mention - the first is Nors who insisted for three years that Parcells was a staunch Romo supporter. Of course, Bill has to be behind you or you're not here at all, but Nors correctly saw that Bill was developing TR to be a starter, and that he wasn't an also-ran 'pet project' of Sean Payton alone.

The other poster is Roshi, who was the only other person who consistently supported Romo.

The rest of the braggers are themselves late-comers. Of course, feel free to prove me wrong. :)

I agree with you. I have seen no one throw Romo under the bus after the giant’s game. I have seen some taking a wait and see approach and I have seen others comparing him to some of the best in the game. (My remark was being sarcastic).

My remark was merely a copy/paste of cowboy-something or other's awesome retort to me. ;)

Why should we trust you? What I remember is a lot of people being distinctly unimpressed by his half of football against the Giants (for good reason) and therefore taking the wait-and-see approach before annointing him the next Troy Aikman or even the future starting QB of the team (an approach that still makes sense given that he has had exactly one good game.)

I want the guy to succeed and I certainly loved what I saw on Sunday night. However, six years of continual heartbreak and frustration with the QB situation tells me that a string of quality starts is necessary before crowning Romo as the true successor to Aikman.

I can only imagine what some of you would have been like had you been Saints fans a few years ago. Aaron Brooks would've been hailed as the next Steve Young.

But superpunk, just so you and everyone else know, I was really the first one to Hail Romo as the next great QB.

Yep, you can delete it... we'll forget I'm sure.

My sources tell me that Old Mother Romo was the first person hailing Tony as the next great QB... but she was doing it when he was 4.

Let me ask you. What does it matter how they feel? I think the vast majority of the people around here are in Romo corner, some of us are cautiously optimistic but no less of fans of his or the team. If jumping up and down saying I told you so make you feel good well let me help you out.

EVERYONE ATTENTION PLEASE Cowboys19 TOLD YOU SO!!!
