Yeah.

Robert Wagner. 4th string backup RT who only played one year of high school ball.

he's a little overaged, don't you think?

look at gregory stats and armstrong. Not much of a difference. Armstrong deal looks a lot better than gregory. Both have been average so far. Armstrong is 5 years younger and not a bone head.

I posted this in another thread but a lot of the alternatives to Armstrong pretty much provided similar production. This is last years production, the 1st name is Armstrong and the last is Clowney. Clowney is clearly the best option of the bunch. However, with Smith now available if his back is ok he would probably be above Clowney. If your not going to sign Clowney or Smith, Armstrong is pretty much as good of an option as the rest.

22 pressures, 10 hurries, 6 knockdown, 3 tfl, 5 sacks
22 pressures, 10 hurries, 8 knockdown, 7 tfl, 2 sacks
22 pressures, 11 hurries, 8 knockdown, 4 tfl, 2 sacks
17 pressures, 8 hurries, 4 knockdown, 6 tfl, 4.5 sacks
26 pressures, 19 hurries, 4 knockdown, 1 tfl, 2 sacks
24 pressures, 7 hurries, 12 knockdown, 6 tfl, 4.5 sacks
32 pressures, 12 hurries, 10 knockdown, 11 tfl, 9 sacks

Risen about to change his Zone avatar after all these years…

Good for him. The kid has worked to get better and he made a positive impact last year. I hope he gets grinding and provides us with some quality reps. Yeah it's like getting underwear for Christmas but you can still be happy for the guy. Unlike the Bozo that left for Denver, Armstrong has been committed to this team.

You should put sack totals too. Nice post though, thanks for sharing.

He might also be due a suspension for the murder of his wife.

He's perfect for us
Went over to Wikipedia - it states that Natalie Wood's death is still an ongoing investigation, and that Robert Wagner was listed a person of interest in 2018.

Most ppl think he did it. Obviously, that doesn't mean he's guilty. But you gotta wonder

You guys are salty because we have failed to sign any big names that could have put us in the mix. If we make this signing before all this other craziness happened nobody would really be mad. On the heels of losing out on everybody else, this smells like a desperation move unfortunately

Yeah- that was one of the biggest scandals - mysterious death - controversies back then... and Hollywood has had a lot of them.
Part and parcel with that industry and the intertwined businesses - and goes all the back to the silent film era (when it all got started out there in Southern California).

I really don't have much of a problem with it. He is a solid rotation guy in Quinn's system.

His numbers in a similar amount of games last year are not far off from what Gregory put up, and Gregory should be in his prime while Armstrong is still developing. I think the problem people have is that Armstrong isn't a "name" player, and people feel you could probably get similar numbers from a high draft pick for a lot less money. That's a fair argument. But Dallas isn't a worse team because they signed Armstrong.
