At some point, Dak-haters have to take a look at the stats and the Cowboys won-loss record with Dak as the starter.

I'm not going to repeat the stats. I should have saved all the stats compiled when comparing him to the other QB's in NFL history. Most of his numbers are at the top of the lists.

As far as his won-loss record as a starter, the primary goal of a QB is to lead his team to victory, whether he is required to be the primary contributor or not. Part of his job is to get the ball efficiently to the primary contributors

There are 13 Cowboys QB's that have started 10 or more games in franchise history.

Dak has the fourth best winning percentage as a starting QB for the team, the best since the early to mid 80's when the Cowboys were in the last third of their 20-year streak of winning seasons. The top three were all participants in that 20 year streak, Staubach, Morton, and White.

Dak didn't get the offensive tools of the dynasty years. The Cowboys defense was a top 8 for 16 consecutive years. They were a top 3 defense for 7 of those years.

Dak's record as a starter is over an impressive span. After this season, Dak will have the 2nd most QB starts in Cowboys history, behind only Aikman.

Dak should have no problem looking at himself in the mirror, He knows his contributions and he has always known that he can't do it by himself. If only more fans realized this.

Well said.. but we both know those who hate Dak will never acknowledge how good he is. He has proven not to be "great" but to characterize him as anything less than "very good" is simply intellectually dishonest. The fact of the matter is "very good" is more than good enough to win it all. There is a long list of QBs not as good as Dak who have won the Super Bowl. They simply had better teams around them and played for better coaches. It is what it is. I don't expect Dak to excel until the line can give him more than a second and a half to throw the ball. All my predictions coming into this season hinged on whether the line would gel. We all knew they would struggle early but I have to admit I thought we would see more improvement by now. But guys getting dinged up certainly hasn't helped. Nor has the defense giving up points like candy on Halloween so the offense is forced to become one dimensional.

He has to say to himself, i'm the highest paid player on this team, I'm the leader of this team. I don't need to talk about what needs to get done, or becoming better every week, I need to step up my play. I've been in the league far too long, the Jones family has been great to me and have given me and my family generational wealth. It's time for him to find something deep inside of him and say, I'm going to pay them back for what they've done for me!!!! Please give your thoughts on this!
I agree! I don't know what Dak does in the off-season but he should have a personal chef, trainer, sports psychologist, therapist
Track coach and QB coach and there is no off-season for a QB that has been paid like him.
I use to always get annoyed that Romo didn't have a clause in his contract making him run 5 miles a day. He got fat!

I wonder what GM's, President's and Owners do in the off season?

I would also believe if an Owner was on vacation, the CEO or President would step up and vice versa. Then maybe the CFO. I wonder what happens when they all are on vacation at the same time???

Now do playoffs when his team needs him the most.

Oh wait...I bet playoff performance is poor routes. Bad defense.

Add in the fact this FO doesnt use FA...where would the money go? If Jerry asked you to take a paycut and said "Ill spend it on FA's this time I swear!" would you believe him?
Not really. I'm skeptical about just about anything that comes from Jerry's lips. He's so prone to saying phony things that I've lost trust in him. I especially find it hard to believe anything he says about his future intentions or his devotion to improving the team.

I don't think that's going to happen. Dak thinks he's entitled to everything he's got and doesn't have any sense of obligation to anyone except himself and his family. He's not going to play better, and he doesn't give a damn about what Jerry has done for him.

Just the fact that he talks more than the Coach tells you all you need to know.

They will ask MM about something specific and he gives a vague answer. Then they ask Jerry and he tells them the answer, when it is a coaching decision to make.

I guess you don't give a damn about the checks Jerry has signed to make this team better. You don't have to believe his words but the checks he's signed says a great deal. He wants to win. I know in the NFL you can't pay for results. The people you pay have to come through to get those results. So don't blame Jerry.

He can beat bad teams. He can't beat good teams. Including the playoffs.

And now he is the highest paid player in the history of the NFL.
This is self fulfilling prophecy since any time the team wins the other team is immediately reclassified as a "bad team." Sometimes even within the same season. Dak and the Cowboys beat the Eagles in 2022. The same Eagles team that went to the Super Bowl that year.. But when the Cowboys beat them they were apparently a "bad team" for a week. Then they went back to being a good team from that point on.. all the way to the Super Bowl. The Cowboys beat the Giants, who were a playoff team and won a playoff game that year, not once but TWICE. The Cowboys just beat the Steelers two weeks ago IN THEIR HOUSE! That "bad" Steeler team is tied for their division lead with the Ravens at 5-2 if I'm not mistaken. But since the Cowboys beat them, they are a bad team. Does that about cover it?

How does cutting a check to CD and Dak who both were already on the team make us any better? How will cutting another big check for Micah, who is already on the team make us better.

Then go on to tell us we have no money left and we must build through the draft and with unwanted FA's???
