It's at the prerogative of the GM and will be assessed at the time Zeke caves and rejoins the team or a new contract is agreed on.Source? I looked and I can’t find anything that says he has been fined, only that he can be. Or is it automatic?
He should be fined as much as the collective agreement allows for. But he should be moved to another team. Every offseason there is something with this clown. Find a sucker and move Zeke before he gets suspended indefinitely.
Fines are the #1 reason that keeps everyA daily fine could get Zeke's attention.
Yet, blokes, it would strain the already strained relations between Jerry, who feels betrayed, and Zeke who feels underappreciated, financially.
I believe Jerry, at some point, will either warn of fines or actually begin the financial sanctions on Zeke.
But, I believe, it would only take place after 2 weeks of Zeke's absence.
Eeek! $40,000 in fines per day plus a prorated sum of Zeke's signing bonus and other sanctions?
Fans, are fines a mistake for Zeke?
Or an effective tool on someone not abiding by a contract?
Chime in. Tea and biscuits for all as we discuss.
I wouldn't wavier them, cuz' I wouldn't be strong armed into playing along in this idiotic premature extortion scheme in the first place. He's already been fined about $280,000. Another $226,000 out he misses the first preseason game.
But they usually waive those when a contract get signed.
*it's my understanding the accrued amount is deducted from future earnings, but my whole understanding column is a bit shaky & leans at an unplumb angle on any given day concercerning any given subject,,,er,,,mind youHe's paid fines, or they're just tallying on a spreadsheet somewhere?
I am not talking to you. The Ukrainian super model says she charges $8 for every sexy email.Fines are the #1 reason that keeps every
" Joe $*** the rag-man" player from pulling a #21
Shuppup. As far as I'm concerned...he's already 240,000 in the hole.
You're a horrible manager. It's fairly obvious some folks here have never actually managed employees. If you did, they probably hated you and did as little as possible.
Sure, fine the heck out of him. Create animosity. If that compels him to show up, what kind of employee do you think you'll get? You'll get one who can't get out of town soon enough. He'll either create so much drama it forces a trade or it just distracts the team and it underachieves. You'll hate him more than ever, and the Cowboys won't win anything.
But yeah, "show him you mean business"...good luck with that. As opposed to, you know, negotiating and looking to resolve the matter amicably.

Yeah. That's how you work out a long term deal.
Three years leading the league in rushing yards per game. Would have led the league in rushing 3 years straight if he didn't have what just about everyone believes was a nonsense suspension.
But yeah. Let's hammer him with fines and screw ourselves.
Comparing people that make make $25-$75 an hour to a guy that signed a $25 million contract is asinine. It's fairly obvious some folks here have never actually managed employees. If you did, they probably hated you and did as little as possible.

Fines are typically dropped after deals are finalized so players don't worry about them. Perhaps it's time they be made to worry.

Yeah, because he’s too smart to pay a RB “in his prime”. The most expendable position in football.Pay him. Belicheck pays his best players contrary to bs narratives. He never had a great rb in his prime or a great wr in his prime. He had a great tight end and paid him.
But he’ll pay a tight end too money. OkYeah, because he’s too smart to pay a RB “in his prime”. The most expendable position in football.
