no I just think he was doing a bit.

The beginning was his true feelings for zeke though calling him arrogant. The other stuff I think he was just doing bits.

I could easily see him doing it for schtick or for ratings. That's not really the point, IMO. The point is how screwball fans take it and ride their rage...

The streets of Philly are wet with gasoline. We don't need somebody going bombastic with a flame-thrower.

Worse...Tony's injury in Philly wasn't a tv show...it's not shtick. It didn't happen in VR. It's real and its awful. To celebrate that is beyond inexcusable.

What's it going to be then, eh?

I sent the information to Pro Football Talk. I don't know if anything will come of it, but I feel that it should. A league promoting player safety shouldn't appreciate one of their employees calling for "bounties" and "taking out" players.

A rivalry is one thing, but openly spewing hatred and pointing to injuries is quite another, and Baldinger needs to be told about it.

Because I want the word to get out about it, one way or another. I feel that his comments are out of line and there should be consequences.

Rest assured, I didn't include anything you made.

I tried to contact the league directly, but all they want to do is sell me something.

ha, that is what they do..sell sell sell.

I dont understand why people want baldinger to get in trouble honestly. He has nothing to do with the actual eagles organization so what he says is as important as what any of us says. I hope the guy doesnt get any trouble over this. At the same time we now know there is nothing unbiased about him when he speaks. His comments initially on zeke were his own not him doing his schtick, that came later so when he is talking about breaking down games and stuff now we know he has a biased opinion for sure.

He should get in trouble because he works for the league. A league getting sued repeatedly for player injuries and now doing everything they can to promote safety. A mindset like Baldinger's has no place in this league, and certainly not with someone who takes money from that league. There should be repercussions.

I think it's all good clean fun. I'm neither shocked nor appalled by Baldinger saying that stuff. You think Darren Woodson didn't go out there and try to ring the receiver's bell when he caught a pass? You think Charles Haley didn't want to hit the QB hard enough to make him **** his spleen onto the field? Of course they did, that's how football was played. Irvin knew when he caught a pass over the middle the other guy was going to try to take his head off, and he caught it anyway - and then told him about it. I can't imagine that in the midst of all of that, nobody ever said anything threatening or tried to intimidate the other guy with talk of bodily harm.

And I think that under the PC veneer the NFL sells now, a lot of players still want to hurt the other guy. They may not want to end his career, but they want to hurt him enough to make him ineffective, if not take him out of the game.

well pro football talk linked to the video so I am just going to delete it.

I enjoyed this kind of thing because I wanted the dallas fans to be excited and maybe possibly the cowboys players to hear it but I imagine they could care less.

The last thing I ever want is someone to get in trouble or fired over it. Its just fun stuff between rivalries.

No, calling for players to be intentionally injured isn't "just fun stuff". Football is a violent enough game when it's played the right way. Advocating "bounties" and "taking players out" has no place in the game. And neither do people who call for it or encourage it.

again he was doing a bit, he was playing a part and having fun with it I believe. The only honest thing I think that he said was the first comments about thinking zeke is really arrogant.
