Barber out for Sunday.

Barber is a bruiser and yeah he will probably be missed most on the blocking but overlooking Choice is dumb. He has tons of heart and has shown he will bring it. He knows this is his time to show the world who Tashard Choice is and you better believe he will freakin bring it in Pittsburgh.
I'm excited for him, I hope the Steelers overlook the kid because I'm telling you they will regret it.

I'm very disapointed that barber wont be playing. 1st as a fan and 2nd because I know he would play if he could. Each and everyone of you know it too! I can't believe the smack talk about Barber on here! You are talking about a player that has played his heart and soul out on this team!

What did you want him too do...limp on the fricken field and gain no yards when he is handed the ball because he can't dig in and run! Then you would be screaming for Wade's head for playing him . I can hear it now....why are they playing him? ...he isnt 100 %..you can tell he is in pain...the protective shoe isn't working for him!....PUT CHOICE IN!! You know thats exactly what would be said here on the zone if he played and could not produce.

I'm sure there is a good reason why he is not playing. I'm sure they tried everything under the sun to work something out for him. I Stand behind one of my favorite playmakers and hope he heals soon!:starspin :starspin

Did he ever sit for a Pinkie TOE?

I dislocated (all ligaments, ripped) my thumb and it pointed towards my chest. I was boxing at the time and preparing for a match, and I continued to train.

I understand the pain level and he should be able stabilize the toe and play.

Its not difficult to understand that it is all pain tolerance he is lacking.

seriously, could you be any goofier?

In 1991, in almost a similar situation we had to travel to philly in december where we never won without aikman. It was a critical game and no one gave us a chance to win without aikman.

Kelvin williams returned a punt, buerlein took care of the football and our defense won the game for us.

No reason the exact thing cant happen tomorrow.

Would I like to have Barber, kosier, roy williams, miles austin, felix jones and mcbriar. Of course. But injuries happen.

But like Babe Laufenberg always says, there are ways to win these things.

Yeah but Pittsburgh is not going to respect our running game with Choice. Witten and Bennett will have to stay in for blocking almost the entire game. This is not going to be pretty.

I hope they dont respect it. I think Choice may be a better match up with the Steelers anyway. He can take a small opening and make it 5 yds. I dont think the Cowboys were going to run alot anyway. They were planning on throwing 40-50 times anyway. I would rather have Choice play this game and hopefully have Barber at close to full strength next week against the Gints.

Well said. If he could go and be effective he would.

And remember our 1st meeting at TX Stadium early that year-the Eagles set a record for most sacks in a game. Of course, it's been broken a couple of times since, but that was ONE ugly and painful game to watch.

In our second meeting, the pass protection was WAY better.

if we throw 40 + times tomorrow we will get beat by 20.

I understand what your gettting at though. We will still run the ball. If not purely for the mechanics of it. If the ends and linebackers see that we are just throwing the ball they will just go upfield. We have to do it tomorrow no matter if deion anderson is getting the ball.

Its going to be all about our defense, winning field position and not turning the ball over. And it would be a big help if 81 and 11 make some plays in tough spots, cause if not 82 will get stuck in the backfield blocking all day on 3rd and long.

And I understand what you are getting at but Choice, I think, can make a defense honor the run better than a banged up Barber.

If Romo doesnt turn the ball over I cant see how the Cowboys dont win. What no one is talking about is the Cowboys D vs. Rottenpasser.

his toe isn't broken. Iv'e played with tendonitis in both my ankles before yet this guy can't play because hiw wittle pinky toe hurts. I've lost respect for the so-called barbarian.

Dude, most of this board as lost respect for you....

Make no mistake, this injury is devastating. Unless Choice does an outstanding job in pass protection, it's going to be as big an injury as the team could have other than losing Romo.

Goofy?

That was a real life experience and I am understand much better than you apperently what it takes to play through pain.

I dont think your goofy, for having frisbie golf participant as your sports career achievement?

You just cant understand men tolerating pain. No problem.

I really don't believe this dislocated toe thing. I mean how is someone not able to play when he only dislocated his little toe ?

You don't plant on it and you really don't need it to cut. The only thing that could bother you is the pain and a anesthesia could take care of that problem.

No really after all that i have seen and heard from our staff this year (Felix Jones etc...) i just don't believe it. I hope this is not something serious.

Get well quick Mr Barber.

I think Barber is quite a bit down the list. I'd say he's probably 5 or 6 other guys on offense that it would be more devastating to lose.

I couldn't agree more. Hate to lose Big Flo, TO, Witten, Columbo, Gurode, or BIGG....
