Bears cheated

Smart move by their center, I have to give him props on that. Guorde would never do that because he is too stupid to think of something like that.

As far as that costing us the game, please...........

i hope wade points this out to the league...

worthless officials. didnt blow whistle on Roys forward progress and then this? These are huge parts in the game that had a huge effect on the outcome.

Nobody said it costed us the game. It's just that these things add up and no way in hell Gurode gets away with that whether he's smart enough to try it or not. Damn yellow flags would've been everywhere.

BB,
Any chance you have video of the TD catch by Hester that was reviewed?
I could not figure out what they saw on that replay, unless there was another angle that was not televised.

One thing is for sure the Boys did not catch any breaks from the Refs in this game. Right now with all the preseaon hype the Cowboys are a target just as if they had won the Super Bowl last year.

Time for them to make their on breaks!

want the refs to start calling Columbo every time he starts moving back before the snap? He gets away with that more than any lineman in the NFL.

they saw him make a great catch, just like they showed on tv.

With 54 seconds remaining before the half the Refs call a timeout for a measurement. The Bears are about a foot away from a first down. When the Bears break the huddle they go and line up on the ball. At this point the center cleverly moves the ball forward about a foot. At this point the ball is beyond the first down marker without even snapping the ball. Cutler then recieves the snap and dives forward for a 6 inch gain. If the Bears hadn't cheated and moved the ball forward a foot the Bears would have been short of a first down by six inches.

No biggie. A lot of centers move the ball forward a little bit. The ball still had to go back to the QB..

I noticed that.

After Buck said that, he was reminded that the Cowboys got screwed and did not mention it again after the play. Imagine if the Cowboys pulled off something like that. He would have been all over it throughout the game.

Exactly!!!

If the Cowboys had done this it would have been the leading story on SportsCenter!!!

This did happen, they actually even noted during the game that the ball was a yard beyond the line of scrimmage. It was actually sitting on the first down marker when the ball was snapped.

I don't think the Bears cheated. Heck we got away with a face mask that could have easily been called on Spencer sack of Cutler.

Been happening in football for years. That is why in short yardage situations you often used to see the Umpire hold the ball in place until the Center got in snap position. Now with them in the backfield behind the play they can't do that.

I thought with under two minutes to play the ref goes back to his original position which is near the LB's.

That is either offsides, or illegal formation as the WR is off the "LOS" nobody is covering the tackle on that side.

I think there's two TE's next to the LT. One on the LOS, one off.

There are five players in the backfield, only six on the LOS, ... that's a penalty.

I caught this live, as did a bunch of others in the chat, as did the game announcers (I believe Buck mentioned it). Amazing the refs let that slide and that our own staff didn't raise a stink about it.

Ware was facemasked on the same play....

While on the subject, Romo got blasted in the head and their was no call....
