pretty common for solid backup optionsDude is going to be on every NFL roster at some point before he retires lol
Trade and redo his contract. If he hits open market he likely goes to colts

when team says that typically all other teams know its key word hes being cut very soon..
although a trade is better for teams and cuts are better for players as they can choose where they go..offer a 5/6 like minshews deal..seems to be a precedence was set ..id do that..im mean foles money is stepper so low picks are in play..
he may not wan to be here so a trade lie Minshew's would be better IMO if thats their target don't let player have a choice..Waiting for him to be released is the right thing. As his contract is too big to claim from waivers or to trade for. Unless Chicago eats the cap money. Not sure how all that works.

Given the contract comparisons as well as on the field performance, Dallas would have better off offering a conditional 6th for Minshew rather than trade for Foles as Minshew would be a far superior back-up to anything Dallas has while having him under contract for the next 2 years for under $1M each season......and also keeping him off the Eagles roster.
