I'm not sure who would give him that kind of money.
Eagles, Lol.

Forte is leaving the bears at age 30. Would you be interested in picking him up on a 1-2 year contract to split carries with McFadden. If the price is right I'd consider it. This past year he had almost 900 yards and averaged 4.1 yards per carry. The only reason I prefer him over Lamar Miller is that Miller would want a longer contract and this way you can pick up one of the top RB's next year.

Why not just sign Miller - who is just 24 years old now? He can split carries with McFadden in 2016 and you can wait until 2017 to draft another running back to replace McFadden or add to the roster?

Miller would sign probably a 4 year deal and who ever we draft next year would get the work load and not split carries
Why?
If your asking why can't they split carries is because Miller is getting paid more than a back to split carries and the running backs next year can handle a big workload (Leonard Fournette, Samaje Perine, Nick Chubb, or other)
No thank you. He's had a good career. All purpose back but on the wrong side of 30. Draft the future feature back.
No, my question is if we have Miller, why do we have to draft one that high in 2017?
There's really no such thing as a feature back anymore. That kind of RB is dying out thanks to changes in offensive philosophies, and fans have been slow to realize it.
In 2002/2003, there were something like 13 RBs who carried the ball 290 times or more. In 2015, there was ONE. and one guy who was close enough (doug martin at 288) so i'll say TWO.
The position has now become a "main" guy who gets 180-220 carries a year, and then 2 more guys who spell him/play on 3rd down. People keep on saying "we need a bell cow/feature back", no we don't. The NFL has changed. your bell cow on offense is the QB now, and RB is a complementary piece.
Because there are backs better than Miller in the draft that will be more dominant
Despite dunbar going down the rb position was really productive. What answer were you looking for? I guess my answer is "really well".
