First of all, that is not a resume you are holding. It is your last Starbucks receipt. Second, that birth certificate looks suspicious. They misspelled 'Coffeeguy03'.
uhhhhh, you know who's fault that is right??? Guy always wants to make me look bad, these days, it isn't that hard!!! lol

Go ahead, Jerry. Reach out to the Hoodie. Pay $7M to UNC and whatever the Hoodie requests to become the HC.

What bigger news could Jerry generate to compete with the SB?
Hypothetically, there is zero reason to assume Jerry Jones has not already reached out to Bill Belichick privately about his head coaching position during the past twelve months since Belichick was not in the NFL. There would not have been any tampering to consider.

That option has been open for Jones for an entire year. Now, we can all sit back and see who he actually picks as his new head coach.

Would Belichick solve this problem?

Redzone Woes

The Cowboys offense scored a touchdown on just 46% of their drives, ranking 31st in the NFL, and only ahead of the lowly New York Giants. Play calls in the redzone were terrible. The lack of a run game probably contributed most to the redzone woes because there was no threat of play action pass.

Dallas had 44 redzone opportunities. Here is a summary of what they did with those opportunities:

  • Touchdowns: 23
  • Field Goals: 10
  • Turnover on Downs: 2
  • Turnovers: 8 (4 interceptions, 4 fumbles)
  • Blocked FG: 1
Based on this data, there were 11 redzone opportunities where the Cowboys came up empty-handed. Either the team was put into bad situations by the play caller, or there were self-inflicted mistakes that a well-coached team doesn’t have happen repeatedly.

Jerry has his own story to tell and those things are relative to timing and availability. Not excuses non-ending for those crying for the past 10 years.

Make your choices, Sir...not everyone is a cry baby with accountability is on the line.

I'm far from an attorney, but would have to believe that him accepting the title publically, talking with recruits, and interviewing for his staff implies that he agreed to the terms of the contract.
I would believe that's how are judge or jury would lean as well. Hence why I think the NFL team would have to pay something. May not be the full $10M. But, something.

As an attorney for over 25yrs, I can tell you that the "gray area" they speak of means a judge and/or jury would have to determine if a contract exists and if Belichick would be in breach leaving for the NFL without the buyout.

Easiest way to avoid that is to negotiate a number less than $10M for a buyout and waiver of any further remedies under law.
Depending on the state, aren’t verbal agreements legally binding? I’m asking because I don’t know.

What is with the infatuation with bill belichek?!?!?! Outside of Tom Brady, he did absolutely nothing.

There couldn’t be a bigger NO than this one. I would hire the custodian before him
How many super bowls did Landry win without Roger?

Jimmy without Troy?

I know people try to dunk on BB for what happened after Brady but the dude did win 6 super bowls as head coach and 2 as a DC.

He assembled THREE COMPLETE TEAMS around Brady. What did Brady do his last year with the Bucs? NOTHING.
No matter who the QB is, he has to have a complete team around him and a high grade coach.
I love how you use a 45-year-old Tom Brady in his last season to make a point. Anyone who watched that season knew Tom was done physically and was mentally halfway out the door with his business decisions. He was a shell of who he was and should have retired a year earlier. Living here in Tampa I can tell you it was pretty much all the local sports reporters were talking about all year. Many thought the team would have done better with a decent Free Agent QB. By the way, that team still made the playoffs and has made it both seasons after he left.

Not saying Bill is not a great coach, but what kind of complete teams did he assemble his last 4 seasons in New England (especially while spending a still NFL record $163 million on free agents in 2021)? Given that he will not have that luxury here, I will wait for an answer to that question.

Jerry isn't going to make any announcement until SB week - likely will announce right as the SB starts.
No question about it. He will definitely try to upstage the Super Bowl...it's his modus operandi. A carnival barker who's all about the show business.

He did it. No matter how hard you try to claim otherwise he did assemble multiple teams that won SBs.
Yeah he ended his tenure at the Pats badly. but given a second chance who knows?
Now I would not choose him over several others; BUT given him over Moore, Sanders and others mentioned here YES.

In arguably the weakest division in the NFL the Great Tom Brady had a losing record.
And his personal stats that year were just below his CAREER AVERAGE.
So claiming he was a shell of himself is garbage. Just like claiming most of the credit for the dynasty is garbage
