With all the other names I've seen floated around for Dallas, this would be good with me.

Could he recapture the magic? I doubt it, but there is something to be said about his history. The guy was part of one of the greatest dynasties in sports history, so he would atleast bring some of those ingredients to the table. An ingredient Dallas has lacked for 3 decades.

I know....I know. Jerry Jones. Let me dream for a minute.

apparently, if you believe the interwebs, primetime has also changed his mind in some way, and he's holding off on signing his new deal, and he still says he would be very interested if offered the job..HMMM

I'm hearing mixed rumors and that's why it's all rumors this is the Internet it's inaccurate more than it's accurate when it comes to these things they're trying to blow up Dallas Cowboys stories and add drama to this process.

i have very little faith that any of this is truly accurate....
because you don't want it to be is not a good reason for anyone to believe it

Understand that, but Tom Brady was better than just “quality qb play”
For much of the Patriot run I would agree but this wasnt always the elite version of Brady either. Brady has some very ordinary years, especially early on including their 1st super bowl win where he averaged just 189 yards a game that season. New England won 11 games with Matt Cassell in 2008 and made the playoffs with Mac Jones. Not trying to take away from the greatness of Brady, I would agree that Belichick isnt wearing quite as much jewelry without him, but I also don't think it takes away from his elite status as a coach either.

Jerry isn't going to make any announcement until SB week - likely will announce right as the SB starts.
I think Jerry should wait till the moment they hand the Lombardi over to the winners to make the announcement. That would get ratings.

Brady has the tie breaker in that he won another ring with Tampa.

I'm just not sure why it matters? Brady = Great player. Belichick = Great HC. Why can't both be true? Why does it have to be a competition about one over the other?

Tom Landry didn't win a superbowl without Staubach, does that mean he was never a quality head coach? It seems like good coaches develop great players, then get penalized in the history books for developing those great players.

It seems Dieon isn't happening or it would be done already. I say this b/c Dieon is on the recruiting trail and he can't do much while rumors persist of his involvement with the cowboys. It is in his interest to sign on quickly or issue a denial of interest that he can sell to recruits. He's certainly not going to let jerry twist him in the wind waiting on Kellen Moore.

It's not that big a deal. I meant my comment in a light-hearted tone. Both are legends and will forever be tied together.

Just to be technical, Landry made it to multiple NFL title and NFC title games with three different QBs not named Staubach. I'd say that's better than what Belichick did without Brady.

i don't think so i think this is more nonsense.. They may not have real ink on it ,but I'm betting somewhere he checked the box online saying he's accepting that contract, why would he be hiring coordinators he's already building a staff over there if the contract wasn't signed...

Why do people keep believing all this nonsense?
Well, there are a lot of legal loopholes in the world. Even if it is standard practice, if it was challenged legally, it might not hold water.
