I recall this nugget from Hatcher during last TC: "Ben Bass is going to be the reason I'm playing on a different team next year.."

Apparently he was tearing it up in TC. Looking forward to see what Rod can do with him.

I think the reason Hatcher is playing on another team is he wanted far more money than Dallas could reasonably pay a 32-year-old DT. Otherwise, he'd be here and Bass would be a backup.

I hope Bass outplays anything we go from Hatcher even in Hatcher's best year, but there's no way anyone could be counting on that.

Come on folks. If we can get 15-20 snaps a game out of Bass, we've totally struck gold

They need to wrap Bass & Matt Johnson in bubble wrap at training camp and then, maybe then we can consider them to be contributors.
Neither have did a thing to help this team, just eating up roster spots.

I'm excited to see what he can do as well. He came up off the practice squad and was doing some good things, he was going to be in the rotation. He hasn't done anything in the NFL yet though, so no expectations.

Pumped for training camp to see him, Crawford and Selvie(to see if he carries anything over from last year). I remember Hatcher talking about them. Young potential talent is always exciting.

Well, it appears we've already gotten younger on the DL. It might be the first step towards the defense being on an upward trend. One thing's for sure, there's nowhere to go but up! A few additions here and there and better health could net some nice rewards.

I'd like to see the FO brain trust move the Bassman to TightEnd where we really know his inner animal would be unleashed. That would save a 2nd round pick this draft to use on a QB project that used to play baseball. (Those always turn out well).

That my friends is some of the best Gm'ing in decades. Yeeehaw.

We reserve second round picks for TE. I would love to see a QB in the 2nd.

Fair enough big dog. We will need a QB sooner rather than later. Love Tony, but that ride is almost over. There are a couple of very good ones that may be available.

We got that taken care of with Weeden.
