You sound VERY into the belief aspect. You believe the Pats win is our marquee win, despite the fact that “crap” teams have beaten “good” teams all year. You “believe” you’re right. Unless it’s Green Bay playing Detroit or the Jets, it’s anyone’s guess. If you base everything on results, all the upsets mean something too.
What ?? You lost me.
Who do you think is our marquee win this year?

Here's some numbers-

McCarthy December (41-18)
Against winning record teams- (9-11)
Against .500 teams, including NO this year- (6-2)
Against sub .500 teams- (26-7)
Against playoff teams- (7-6)
Against Division winners- (4-3)
Against Wild Card teams- (3-3)

My $.02-

-one of those wins against a division winner was week 17 of 2006 when the Bears had the division sealed with 13 wins.

-2012 might be his most impressive December. One of the tougher schedules. Four of 5 games were division games, MIN twice. They went 3-1, splitting with MIN, and finished at 10-6 to win the division. MIN and CHI both finished 10-6 but only MIN made the Wild Card.

I've quoted a year by year look at his December opponents so it won't take up as much space.

Strength of schedule stuff-

You could have saved a lot of time researching and typing by just saying ”McCarthy sucks!”

Isn’t that the point? Showing the slant that McCarthy’s a good coach is erroneous?

He has a good record. His opponents he beat on average had about 6 wins a year. He beat up on a lot of bad teams in his division. Teams who beat him averaged out to 9 wins a year. I have no idea how this relates to other coaches. You're expecting losses from better teams. How much does Rodgers and Favre play in that? So far he's looking good in DEC in DAL, too, even last year.

Let's hope it continues in January.

We HOPE for losses against better teams. That’s only natural. The GOAT team, GOST Coach and GOAT QB padded stats with YEARS of easy competition in the perpetually weak AFCE.

There’s a difference with a 1st place schedule. We didn’t have to play Green Bay or Rams this year. That makes a difference of 1 or 2 wins in a season and potentially determine whether you make the playoffs or not.

The Cowboys have failed to make the playoffs every time this era when we had 1st place schedule. 2008, 2010, 2015 and 2019.

Rams weren’t the division winner last year. Seahawks were. 1st place schedule got Seahawks and we got AZ. I much rather play the Seahawks than AZ. The 1st place schedule really doesn’t make as much difference as people think it does since teams change so much year to year.

Do you think the teams would want to play us(3rd place schedule ) or the WFT(1st place schedule ) this year?
