In my opinion this week's game at New York is CRITICAL to the Cowboys getting to where we all want them to be.

If we win at New York we face the Chargers and Saints with a 9-3 record and the worst we could emerge from those two games is a very nice 9-5.

If we lose this week, we fall to 8-4 and the potential is there to finish the three game stretch at 8-6 and going to Washington on a 3 game slide.

I'm not conceding losses to either the Chargers or the Saints, I believe we can beat both, but I just don't think this team needs to put itself in that pressure cooker.

Lets go to New York and win, giving ourselves some breathing room.

Come on, if they win this game and lose rest of the games, how would then this be the biggest game of the year? This biggest game of the year is all silly talk. Every game is big game pretty much from now on, unless they have all seeding set and cowboys make playoffs etc.

All division games are big games, Period, especially at this time of the year.

My turn to drop a cliche.

We need to take this one game at a time.

OK, someone else's turn now....

Ahhh...... They have to make plays on both sides of the ball.
How is that?

I don't know about all this "biggest game of the year" stuff, but even if we lose we are still tied for first place our division with our destiny still in our control.

I hear what you guys are saying about 1 game at a time, and every game is big, and even if we lose we are in the drivers seat, and all the rest.

But in my opinion, this team starts losing in December, and with every loss the pressure will mount.

Go get the first one in December and I believe we will finish very strong. I really do.

Drop the first one, and the pressure will build each week and we have a brutal 3 game stretch.

Even if we lose it, we can have a great December. I'm not saying otherwise. I would just rather see us not put that pressure on ourselves.

They are going to get bigger and bigger every game from here on out.

This time of year everyone is taking their level of play up a notch and the teams who waited till the last minute to do their homework are playing catch up.

Its go time starting Sunday. Thats all there is to it. Lets land an Ali blow on these fools and end their season.

This game IS the biggest game of the year. New Orleans and San Diego (to a lesser extent) are going to be big games but not as big as this one for a variety of reasons. The only game left on the schedual that could be as big as this one is the Philli game, and who knows at that point it could not matter one way or another.

But for all you arguing w/ the OP, he is right, this is the biggest game of the year (so far and is likely to remain that way till the playoffs).

We will actually be a game ahead since we own the tiebreaker with Filthy. They still have to win as well.

This game is more important due to 2 main reasons.

1. The Giants have already beat us, thus another loss would give them the tiebreak over us. In affect, a Giants win puts them 1/2 game out of first.

2. This is a division game and as such could have tiebreaker consequences. If for example the Eagles beat us in week 17 and end the year with the same record as us. Since we each have 1 win against each other, the second tiebreak would be divisional record. Another loss against the G-men could cost us the division against the Eagles if it went to the second tiebreak.

Lets just put it this way, if you lose division games in December the odds of winning the division are significantly reduced.

Matty Ice is not playing with turf toe so the legendary Chris Redman will lead the Falcons against the Eagles this weekend.

:lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2:

The Falcons season is done, the Eagles are not losing to freaking Redman.

:D I agree with you. But crazier things have happened with the Eagles. I mean if the Raiders beat you, you can lose to anyone. Including the All Pro Chris Redman.

I have come to grips with the fact that nobody is going to help us out, we are going to have to beat the Eagles and Giants ourselves if we want to win this division.

We have to run the ball and stop the run. That's the key.
Here's another one:

They must take care of the football.

"Matty Ice" wasn't having a great season anyway. His passer rating is only 80.0 -- and it's 67.4 over the past seven games.

Redman hasn't played a lot, but he has an 89.8 rating this season and had a 90.4 rating in seven games in 2007.

Ryan's absence might not be as big of a deal as it's made out to be. Michael Turner's absence might be bigger.
