I am going with not making a deal happen for Adrian Peterson.

You?

Letting Callahan go.

The play of the OL has been a joke.

It's collapsed the running game..

and the pass protection has allowed the QB to break his shoulder twice.

Something should have been done more there.

We are going to be seeing Callahan and Skins shortly and they are going to sweep us.

And Callahan is going to get some redemption..watch.

He is going to make his point he can out-coach Linehan.

Believing in our Coaches.I have never seen a more unimaginative set of coordinators, they give Vanilla a bad name.

Good one. I second that as well. What a horrible job they have done this year. Just awful!

As for myself, I'd have to say the biggest mistake was botching the back up quarterback spot.

The worst thing that could've possibly happened for the Cowboys and our future was having the season we had last year.

We need a new coach and 1 decent season might have bought Garrett a decade.

We were one questionable call away from going to the nfc championship to play a team we had already beat in their house. How could that be a bad thing for the franchise?
As upset as everyone is with this season, without being decimated by injuries this year we would be contending for the title again.

Because we desperately need a coach that can strategize and help give us an edge.

Sorry.

The bs picked up flag against the lions would have been our one and done.

Without fielding a healthy team, I refuse to pass judgment on any offseason decisions. Better backup QB? Better RB or keeping Murray? Even keeping Callahan? None of that would really matter with the injuries to Scandrick, Romo, and Dez. Yes, all teams have injuries, but few teams built on a top 3-5 QB and top 3 WR who are paid accordingly has ever lost both for the long haul and won anything to my knowledge. Some better moves might have us finishing at 8-8 or 9-7 with the division title, but we'd still be going into the playoffs as a lame duck without our QB, without our best CB, and with our franchise WR far from 100%. We'd still be looking at an early exit and a crappy mid-round draft pick.

None of us like losing, but once Romo and Dez went down, suffering for draft position is the best thing to happen to us.

It's like 2007. Nobody knows when we're going to be that close again.

Not re-signing DeMarco Murray. Not only did it hurt the offense. But it hurt the team. It showed the players that front office was not loyal. Add that to the Dez signing drama, and it created a disconnect. You can say that the backup QB spot is the main problem. But look at the Carolina game. We had Romo. Same result. We didn't have running game, and that hurts Romo as much as anything.

I do think if we were running like we were last year that Romo doesn't get hurt.

Well..

A mistake on Garrett's part as he is the HC.

But I'm sure Jerrah has the final say in it all.

But either way..a failure on the teams part.

This franchise always has done poorly with the coaching decisions.

From Campo to letting Johnson go, to Switzer to Parcells, to letting Payton go, to Phillips to Garrett.

I believe Callahan thought he had a shot as the HC when Phillips was let go but he got passed over as we all know.

This was possibly a huge mistake.

Had Callahan remained..

we might never have needed Linehan or Garrett.

Callahan could have been HC and called the plays and contend with building on the OL investment.

Whatever.

We had no choice on Callahan . His contract was up and he wanted to leave.
Counting on Brandon weeden and joe randle were two big personnel mistakes.
Not saying we should have matched the offer that the Giants gave but , d Harris was a big loss for us. We really missed him and never found a replacement unless you enjoyed fair catch Beasley

Would be could be an should be.....have you looked at the Cowboys record for the last 20yrs. History repeats itself year after year. This year is no different..... follows a pattern.....

You don't know that at all.

Plus, there were a long list of crazy uncalled penalties on Detroit that game.
Why is it you only seem to see the negative with Dallas....always?

Callahan was a disaster as HC, his ceiling is OL. Anywhere but here as a HC.
