Biggest mistake of off season? Name one only

I can't stand Garrett either. But I wouldn't trade the hope we had at the end of last season for a bad season to get him fired instead. That's what football is all about. The excitement of believing you have that chance to win it all. It's not easy to win a title. We were a play or two away from potentially having that chance.

Remember how exciting the end of last year was? It sure beats how crappy this season is even if Garrett gets fired.

I get it. Nobody believes Garrett does a lot or make this team better. But players have to make plays too. If dez doesn't drop the ball against Tampa we win that game. If our defense doesn't completely fall apart at the end of every game we are leading the division right now, even with all the injuries.

Garrett sucks. But the players have to make plays too.

Not having a capable backup QB.

Is this really a question?

Yes it is a legit question but only 1 real answer that stands above the rest. I get those who say Callahan but backup QB is easily the winner here.

I am going with not making a deal happen for Adrian Peterson.

You?

Well considering Minnesota doesn't have a realistic shot at making the playoffs with a young QB like Bridgewater, dealing for Peterson would have been easy. I mean there's literally no reason that they would benefit from holding onto him

He did take a team to a SB. If that's a disaster, I want that.

With Grudens players where he got his lunch eaten by a better coach. Didnt make the playoffs the next year and the veterans couldnt stand him. Nebraska was a monumental disaster. No way on Callahan. You heard what Jerry Rice and Tim Brown said. Worst HC they played for at any level.

Not re-signing DeMarco Murray. Not only did it hurt the offense. But it hurt the team. It showed the players that front office was not loyal.

When has Jerry ever been called non-loyal? If anything that is one of his biggest faults.

By not bowing to Murray's demands the only message sent to the players is we won't overpay when you are asking more than market value.

Yea but what does it say about JG? Switzer won a SB with Johnson's players. At least he led a team to a SB. He could have flopped with that same team.

The triplets and a veteran defense won a SB. Switzer stood there and kept his mouth shut. Callahan aint that bright when it comes to the big chair.

He's done that tons of times for less of a player. Stephen is sending the message.

Well maybe Garrett could learn something from Switzer. lol

That's what gets to me. They've overpayed tons of time on players that everyone knows are scrubs. But then Murray and Dez want money and the Cowboys play hardball.

Callahan was a disaster as HC, his ceiling is OL. Anywhere but here as a HC.

Doesn't matter.

Jerrah wanted Garrett and everybody knew it.

Even Parcells knew it.

I think it was part of the reason he left.
