I would say Callahan, but he was leaving no matter what we did. I would say getting a real option at RB. McFadden isn't bad, but we could have possibly had a much stronger run game if we at least attempted to do something than sign rbs let go by other teams.

That's what gets to me. They've overpayed tons of time on players that everyone knows are scrubs. But then Murray and Dez want money and the Cowboys play hardball.

I still think the O line liked Murrays toughness. And I think he would have helped win at least a couple games even with Weeden or Cassel at the helm.
I don't care what he's doing in Philly, it's apples and oranges. They decided at the wrong time to tighten the purse strings. Be interesting to see what goes on with Mo after the season.

Callahan was a disaster as HC, his ceiling is OL. Anywhere but here as a HC.

Doesn't matter.

Jerrah wanted Garrett and everybody knew it.
And to this day some of the unwashed around here dont appreciate what Parcels did for the franchise.

What I remember most about Parcells was he didn't trust Romo..

which I don't either.

And I love it because the battle cry on Parcells was playing not to lose. Well isn't that Garrett to a T? With a way better roster.

I think he did. He just didn't want it all on his shoulders. He was right. Garrett can't do a thing with out it being all on Romos shoulders.

On a cheap shot knee to the back. I don't think he gets taken out by a 3 man rush last week if the line was still coached by Callahan.

If the running game had been functioning like it did week 2 against Philly or like it did on Thursday, very possible.

You don't know that at all.

Plus, there were a long list of crazy uncalled penalties on Detroit that game.
Why is it you only seem to see the negative with Dallas....always?

That was heavy duty bs call. Pick up a flag on blatant pass interference.

Last sentence is untrue. You are parsing only certain posts of mine. All good... For you.

Callahan wasn't returning under any circumstance this off-season. When he was pushed aside for Linehan it was a done deal. He did his job while he was here but there was no way in hell he was going to renew his contract in Dallas.

Maybe he would have done it for a crapload of money. Coach salaries don't count toward the cap.

Romo making the direct tv commercial.

Follow me : Andrew Luck was drafted to replace an injured Payton manning. Tony Romo got a new contract and Jerry wanted him to be more like manning, calling more audibles having more input in the offense. Now Payton, Luck, and Romo are all injured. Coincidence hmmmmmm

Point 2:
  • Aaron Rodgers makes a new State Farm commercial - discount double check ( the one where the guy is gonna hit him with a towel. What happens? Jordy Nelson is out for the season
  • Eli manning makes a direct tv commercial - boom Cruz has season ending calf surgery
  • Payton makes a new nation wide tv commercial - boom he's out for the season
  • Tony Romo makes a direct tv commercial - boom he's out for the season
  • Tom Brady made a new nike commercial - Edelman is out for the rest of the season

Coincidence. Hmmmm.

Can we include camp in Oxnard as part of the off-season? The whole thing was not handled correctly. Players have to get quite a bit of reps to get ready, not go sit in the tub for any minor injury. That is a huge reason that it takes them a few games to get it going when the season starts.

Get a competent backup QB, and we win at least six games (New Orleans, NY Giants, Philadelphia, Seattle, Tampa Bay, Atlanta). We're sitting at 8-1 with the Dolphins up next and then Carolina. I don't know if we rush Romo back if we're 8-1. If we beat the Dolphins, we're 9-1 going into the Carolina game. Maybe we let Romo rest until after Thanksgiving? Even so, I don't fee he is in a position to have to press to make plays or carry the team on his shoulders.

I'm going to "mildly" disagree with you on one point. Our QB play wasn't the reason we lost to Atlanta, New Orleans, or Philly. All three of those games were defensive collapses in which our QB played well enough to win. There was just no week-to-week consistency at the position.
