What do you want to hear, young man?

Don't you think the oline was at least better after Parcells got here? Rivera hurt his back...Parcells fault? Yeah, he tried to make a few moves on the oline and failed, but he is a defensive coach and the defense players he got are going to be much better than we had. You cannot pick ALL GOOD players for both sides of the ball in just a few years...

Steven Jackson is a Ram because they drafted him...do you want Jackson or Ware?

I'm not a Parcells groupie by any means and am glad he scooted on...but for some of you crybabies that cannot give any credit to what he did do for the Cowboys is crazy!

Now leave me alone! Go find a girlfriend or do some community service for a change!

Why does our offensive line NEEDto be fixed as soon as Parcells left VR.

Why is Steven Jackson a Ram?

.....
We added one new starter on the offensive line...not exactly a rebuild job.

Jackson was a whiff...no doubt. Although there are other sides to those coins too. I mean the Cowboys could pass on Brady Quinn and stockpile a first next year from a bad team because he took his time and developed Romo.

Rivera was never good, we are lucky he hurt his back... ask around and you will see this is a common belief.

He is a defensive coach, yes. Then why did our defense collapse? Ellis goes down so we pack it in and give up?

Jackson is a Ram because we passed on him, not becuase we drasfted Ware... get your facts straight.

I have a girlfried, she is actually "yelling" at me cause she wants more attention :p:

As for community service I am more of a charitable donator.

Quit with "young" comments by the way... Those along with "kid" are pretty shallow and degrading.

There are plenty of "young" guys around that there are much more knowledgeable and even successful as some "older" guys.

But if talking down to a younger person gives you the ego- boost you need then carry on I guess.

Parcells inherited the rest... minus Columbo I guess?

maybe you should be "super binary" - you're either on or off. black or white. 1 or 0.

maybe i am wrong. but unless you KNOW FOR A FACT witten said it out of honesty and not to be "professional" (you know, like you ask the "malcontents" to be) then you're reading something and filing it in the "bil defense folder".

What a ridiculous notion. I have to know for a fact that he was being honest? I should assume he's lying and just being professional? Nonsense. This has nothing to do with defending Bill - just taking things at face value, instead of reading things into them. That's what I'm trying to do.

and even if you're right and he is a bill guy - great. NO ONE IN HERE TO DATE said there were not guys who did very well under bill. but to assume those who did NOT do well under bill - it must be THEIR fault, just a little blind to me, that's all.

it also shouts out "agenda" like you lob on others.

What's the agenda? That I would prefer the players take personal responsibility, rather than excusing their poor play under the fuzzy blanket of scheme and coaching? Quit digging for things. You're way off base here.

And champsheart, I'm sorry you feel the way you do about my posts in this thread. I suspect it's because you disagree with me, and I've been somewhat abrasive. I prefer things that are tangible. So I'm not going to buy this cock and bull story about these poor players underachieving because of "scheme." No amount of "scheme" can stop good players from making plays. And I've seen no shortage of "Thank God Bill's gone, so these players can finally prosper" posts. Hate to be in the vocal minority on this one, but every once in a while, that's where you find yourself.

Isn't this what I told you to do about 3 or 4 posts ago!

You got it all figured out in your head so what is the point?

I'm glad he came here, I'm equally glad he's gone!

You better watch out for you neighbor...he might give the "attention" that you little lady needs!

Later, kid!

He picked us up guys like Canty, Spears and JJ to name a few.

These 3 players have all been under the microscope, specifically on this board.

So, his groceries left us in better shape? Very unclear.

Why would you list ONLY three players. Every coach and GM is going to miss. So far, these are Parcells misses, and he has quite a few.

But do not imagine that he holds his coaches back. He may be stern, and stubborn, but you won't find a shred of evidence to suggest your position is correct. Payton is glowing in talking about how much Parcells taught him. An entire wing of the NFL owes their careers to Parcells. You don't get that by stifling.

Moving on from that, as what he's done for other coaches is mostly irrelevent when talking about our team....do you really not remember the Cowboys who were lucky to win 5 games a year? That's not an exageration - those 5-11 teams were lucky to get those 5 wins per year. He's taken us from there - to a position where we're consistent contenders, in great cap shape, with a young base, and a roster that people consider as talented as any in the league. Can you truly not see what he did for this laughingstock of an organization in 4 short years?

This was not a rebuilding. This was a remaking.

Sorry to say, but Billy brought this upon himself. And if these players suck next season, guess who brought them in?

As i've said before, when you come in a place and turn it into a prison ward, then don't whine when you don't suceed and the prisoners rebel against you.
These guys are simply tired of it. And maybe if they were a winning team, they could deal with this type of attitude, but who's going to put up with a hard *** coach, and no wins?

it has been said the players should have said things more professional regardless of personal feelings. if you agree with that statement then how do you know the people "being professional" mean it or are just NOT whining?

how can *you* clarify the difference just based on what's said?

maybe you are taking things at "face value" - but when ever someone critisizes bill you're here to do just that almost on queue. i've tried to avoid much of this just because of my own personal bias and hell, we even started off agreeing, but we knew that couldn't last. : )

i would prefer players took personal responsibility also -or stayed professional in their convo w/the media. that said, there's no way i can tell the difference when someone is being professional or honest when they DON'T rag on bill.

Wow, I hadn't seen those quotes from Ferguson, stash. Good stuff.

The Xs and Os part of the game has never been Bill's forte, but he knows this stuff. That makes you wonder if he didn't want to play 2-gap all the time just to try to win "his way" and not Belichick's.

And IMO not all of this is "Bill Bashing". The new coach coming in has a very different philosophy than that of the old coach. Some of this is simply enthusiasm from the players at the idea of trying something different. What do we expect? The players to have a wake for the guy who's gone?

I believe Belichick runs a 2-gap system as well

You do the same.

Nowhere in those quotes do I see Ferguson saying any of it was a good thing. And the 'circus elephants' comment sure as %^$# isn't some compliment!

This player is openly questioning why the team persisted in running a conservative scheme.

You want to defend Parcells?

Feel free.

And I'll feel free to criticize his ultra-conservative coaching too.

:toast2:

there's an easy answer for that

only 2 pass-rushers, and 1 competent coverage safety

The "nonsense" is coming from you - and your arrogant, childish notion that anything that isn't the way you see it is wrong. Hate to break it to ya Junior, but you're not that important.

Show me one player 'advocating' keeping Parcells' scheme rather than openly gushing about the changes and you might have a point. Until then it's all conjecture on your part. But hey, they're only the guys who do the job for a living while you're some internet keyboard jockey who knows better, right?

Yeah, and you're ^!$$ed-off that they're not handling things the way you think they should. Again - too bad. If you had to listen to the criticisms, you might try to explain yourself too. Sounds to me like he's spot-on target.

"Abrasive"? Please. You're going too easy on yourself.

Who cares what you "buy"? You don't even matter.

Look at your posts in this thread, you've started arguments with everyone in the forum who doesn't see things exactly the way you do. Grow up and realize they don't have to.
