So the OL coach is the problem now? The one who coached the OL to a rushing The OL coach is the least of our problems, the lack of adjustments and getting throttled in the second half is the biggest problem. Collapsing due to some players being out is a big problem. Not having receiving weapons with any speed or separation is a big problem.

Why did we let him go again? Like he left us for the same exact position at Washington....

Someone will remember better than me - it was after some game that we had like some bone-headed offensive play calls or meltdown and instead of owning up to it like a man, Coach Garrett threw Callahan under the bus, something like "I don't call the plays, you'd need to ask the play caller"

Then I think they refused to let him leave after Callahan was pissed to become an offensive coordinator somewhere else, like a real offensive coordinator because in title it was a lateral move - so that pissed him off even more.

Bryan Broaddus has been very open in reporting that Callahan hates him, thinks he's a snake. I think it was after the first time Washington beat us with him that all his players went up and were congratulating him.

Here is an article describing the game - even back then and earlier some of us were saying Garrett was a shady slimy coach for his antics. Forgot he threw Romo under the bus too - like he did to Dak earlier this year.

This staff has always been a mess trying to validate/prop up Garrett - he simply wasn't ready, but as someone else said, the fact that he's coach isn't his fault - if Jerry offered me the job I'd snap it up in a heartbeat no matter how quickly (and it would be real quick) all the folks on this forum would hate me, lol :)

I guess this is just another example of how we can't keep quality football people inside this organization.

exactly...

The number of quality coaches that have passed through that door in Dallas and have left swearing @ Jerry is close to 500.

This is pretty much it. There was bad blood between he and Garrett re play calling, and Garrett didn't like the way he was doing it. They held him to his contract for an extra year, and then he was pissed when he bailed.

Callahan has a reputation for being pretty difficult to work with. It was an issue with both the Jets and the Raiders too.

I think this has more to do with Pollock than it does anything else. Its a fair criticism.

Just recall that Houck did fine before Callahan came in. The OL was fine until Tyron went out though. I think people are steeped in some recency bias.

Ok, fair enough, but at least you'd have to admit the pieces around the main three guys and the guys behind them have left plenty to be desired?

JG is the main reason in my opinion, not just him, Tony sporano, Norv Turner, didn't want to be any where close to JG, even if you pay them
