Why would you want to keep a middling guard that was the weakest link on our line? Our line was average at best last year. The idea is to improve the line, good riddance to McGovern.

The other Connor turned out to be a pretty good center for Miami.
Guess we'll see how this one fares as a guard for Buffalo now.
Steele turned out very good though. If not for Steele, the only recent o linemen getting second contracts was first round o linemen.

Keep sucking down that 27 year old Jerry Juice Kool Aid. Connor McGovern just like Connor Williams will be missed as quickly as NFL teams gobbled them up.
The Cowboys OL struggled for years between Andre Gurode (G/C) and Travis Fredrick (G/C). Since Fredrick retirement, It has struggled again. Connor Williams and Connor McGovern has shown in college and the Pros they are OG/C/OT starting OL. Instead of keeping continuity, you keep letting go starters and starting depth. This is why your OL was average and struggling. Again, what happen to "we like our guys".
You keep continuity on your OL and DL. Every play starts with trench warfare. If you can not win in the trench you will not win by land or air in football. Why the heck do real Dallas Cowboy fans know about 4 Irishmen and a Scott or The Great Wall of Dallas? You keep you OL and draft a RB. You keep your OL and draft a WR/TE. Letting young talented OL go every year is Jerry Dumbo GM Jones stupid football.
