Good for the Bills. Let the dummy Cowboys take the risk and develop CM. Guy has his best year and Dallas lets him walk for a very affordable veteran G contract. Only 3 years too. I suspect they didn’t even entertain keeping him.

MCGOVERN really improved this season, but can't say he was pivotal offensive cog that showed more than being an average starter. Wish him luck in his new digs.

There's another Connor McGovern that plays for Denver. Are you all sure this is our Connor McGovern?

Interesting.

Are gonna run with Farniok at LG until Steele is back and then move Tyler to LG?

I really hope that's not the plan.
I believe they are expecting Steele back at the beginning of the year. If nothing else, this confirms that they will keep Tyron this year.

It's your own fault for falling for it every year and telling the ones that don't (me) that "you just don't know football, bro!".

So, by all means, get them hopes sky high and then go away for months at a time and then come back to tell the ones that have been here talking Cowboys while you stayed away because you don't like to face the music when you're wrong that they're not real fans like you are.
Go outside.

Steele and Smith.
Steele is hurt out will be out. No telling if he is going to regain his form. He will be on a one year deal and then he is an unrestricted FA

Tyron Smith doesnt play guard. If your talking about Tyler Smith, then yes thats an answer. But then who plays RT and who plays LT?

If they keep Tyron Smith he is a part time player. This also probably be his last year. According to one report he was going to retire THIS year so he is not long. Whenever it is he gets hurt he will be done.

So we are still missing 2 starting positions.

Only REASONABLE thing to do for THIS year AND the future is to make Tyron the swing tackle THIS year. If he doesnt get hurt in TC then he can play RT until Steele returns. That puts Tyron, Martin, Biadasz, hole, Tyler as as our opening starting 5. Thats if Tyron doenst get hurt. So already we need a starting caliber guard to begin the season.

And lets say Steele returns in 5 games. Tyron is probably hurt by then. So again, who starts at guard? Nobody. So for me the #1 priority for THIS year and the future is stud guard. And at 26, you can get one. Thats what I am doing. Then you have an answer for THIS year and the next few seasons. With Tyron retiring/getting hurt and Steele being hurt and this possibly being his last year here.

And then we can have the oft injured Tyron as a swing tackle for depth if he is ever healthy. Personally I would dump him now and use his 13 million dollar savings.

Mcgovern doenst fill a void he is the void. Good riddance.
Was he the best player ever? No.
Was he a legit starter that was vastly underrated by most folks on this forum? Yes
The problem is that to fill that "void" now is most likely going to cost you draft capital. I would certainly rather spend #26 on something other than a G.
Given the other uncertainties regarding the OL, it would have seemed like a good time to try to resign him to have some continuity and have more flexibility in the draft.
Maybe they'll get lucky and find a cheap FA or a mid-round draft pick that does a decent job.
