Not only do we have to watch another week 16 debacle, but we have to spend all offseason knowing this clown is still our HC/OC.

We were seriously outcoached today.

I think he is getting fired.

Garrett is the most unqualified HC I've ever seen. He's worse than Zorn. At least Zorn had a rudimentary understanding of the West Coast offense.

The best thing Garrett has going for him is he is well spoken. Without that he wouldn't have anything going his way as a coach.

Commanders blitzed two linebackers ALL GAME LONG.

Seriously, how long does it take to figure this out.

I don't care what the Garrett defenders say, he is a BAD OC.

The worst part is that Jerry won't fire Garrett, and he won't hire an OC either, so we have to endure this again next year.

I don't think Jones will, nor should, fire Garrett as the head coach. But I disagree when you say that he won't consider a change in Garrett's OC duties.

Jones said himself about a few months ago that we did not have the luxury for Garrett to learn on the job. Yet what we saw tonight was that very same inexperienced OC get out coached by a defensive scheme he had not seen and could not counter.

I think as a fan you would like to go into every game thinking our HC has the guys ready to play..you throw this at us & we'll do this..

Jason just seems clueless.

Same ole. Same ole.

He's good at keeping the team motivated. But today his offensive gameplan and adjustments were terrible. I know Romo was bad, but the gameplan did not help him. Garrett could never make an adjustment to take advantage of the blitz.

The crazy thing about the game is that the Commanders kept doing the same thing on offense and defense all game. They were running the stupid option with RGIII/Morris and we couldn't stop it. On the flip side, they brought blitz 70%+ of the time, and Garrett never thought of calling a screen. We could have thrown the short slant to Witten all night because the two middle LBs were always blitzing, but I only saw that play once in the 4th quarter.

Twice we were just on the verge of FG range with a chance to put up points and Garrett played it like we were on our own 20 yard line and had to gain 30 yards. He has no sense of game management at all.

I agree completely

people forget about these types of things in the aftermath of a game like this, but the failure to get 3 before the half was terrible, and a good example of what we do regularly

just a reminder, Dallas scored more than 10 points in the first half exactly once all season

I agree Adam, just totally stupid playcalling.

How the hell do you not make any adjustments to the blitz? Like Chris Collinsworth said, the Skins were not even trying to diguise it.

Garrett is getting outcoached every week and frankly I am getting tired of it. We will never make a deep playoff run with this idiot calling the plays.

Hope you guys like being .500, looks like that is the ceiling for Garrett as HC, back to back .500 seasons.

This guy is reaping the bad karma he created. He sabotaged Wade Phillips with horrible offensive coordinating which helped to get Wade canned. He took a job, knowing he was screwing Wade by knowing he would be kicking Wade out once he's got a little experience.

He comes in here, forcing guys to wear suits on the plane as if that's going to matter on the football field. Oh, he's a disciplinarian, really? His offense looks so unorganized, he's out of his league.

Please go away GArrett, and take Romo with you.

Garrett's decision going into halftime is another shining example of him being lost.

I'd blame A.J Smith for that, what with letting V-Jax walk and replacing him with Eddie Royal, reaching for Ryan Matthews, and letting the OL go to ****.

Jackson walking had more to due with Austin's contract than anything. He jumped the franchise tag almost 2 million, causing Jackson's agent to understand it was better to play under it than sign long term

i agree 100% i think when you know a team is blitzing you all day and you don't run any quick slants and just maybe one of the play makers can break a big one and slow the blitz down. plus if we can't have an offensive line or backs that can pick up the blitz and block just a little this tem will always be a second tear team.

I realize there are mountains of difference in the skill players on the Broncos vs us but their game today they never let up...throwing the ball downfield & while they were in the playoffs already they did have something to play for & it showed in their effort.

Sickening we can't do the same..

I dont buy this Garrett is a motivator claim. His teams just were not ready to play in the first half of most of the games this season.

Get used to losing then, I am serious.

If back to back .500 seasons hasnt convinced you that Garrett doesnt know what the hell he is doing, take AdamJT's word for it. He basically called Garrett out in this thread saying that maybe one day Garrett will learn that the role of an offense is to score points.

I have never seen an NFL coach as pathetic as Garrett. I for one still can't understand why he doesn't know how to change up an offense to compensate for the blitz? Wasn't this a problem we had 5 years ago? Garrett has never learned how to gameplan for a game like this. Thus he gets outcoached. Today was another example. Garrett sucks. He should leave time and take his def. coordinator with him.

I think it is pretty interesting that in all of the NFC East rematches this season, the Cowboys offense has had stretches where they looked VERY bad in each game.

Garrett is in over his head. Even Rob Ryan, who isn't a great coordinator by any means, made adjustments for his players from the last game by making sure the secondary didn't get burned deep. Sure they conceded the running game in the process but in the end, it gave the Cowboys a chance to win in the last 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, Garrett could not adjust at all and let Haslett win

We were beaten by a college offense and by a predictable defense. Garrett is an awful coach, just horrible. I find it incredible that he never adjusted and kept running his stupid slow plodding offense, it made no sense.

We deserve a better coach, period.
