1) Unable to motivate the team
2) Unable to discipline the team
3) Unable to manage the clock in critical situations (see SF playoff game and others)
4) Unable to challenge in critical (turnovers, poor spotting) situations
5) Dumber than a door nail. Has anyone ever heard this guy speak? OMG.

Fire McCarthy after the loss to Tampa in the first round. Bank on it.
So these are your options? Opinions aren’t facts my guy.

MM has been to the top of the mountain once as a HC. So at least we know he can do it. Not so sure about the rest of the guys on the team. I honestly think they have nobody in the locker room who knows what it takes to win a championship. The problem is the players not the coaches.

You forgot one more blatantly obvious fact....

He coached a team to a Superbowl victory and has a shiny ring with his name and title as a head coach engraved in it.

I think this post is more about your own need for self-reflection and healing.

I fully expect them to beat Tampa in the first round and then obliterated in the divisional round.

His clock and game management are questionable to best at times but this team always plays hard so not sure how you can say they are not motivated.

My biggest gripe is there seems to be a lack of attention to the little details.

One example I can give is Philly always runs the ball on 3rd and 3 or less, so they can get to a short 4th down to do the tush push. The minute they threw the ball on 3rd and 2, Dallas should have been suspicious and thought about the fake punt coming on 4th down. I've only watched 5 Philly games this year and it was the first thing I said when they passed on 3rd and 2 is something isn't right here, every time I watch them they run the ball on 3rd and 3 or less to get to the tush push. You would think they scouted that kind of stuff if an idiot like me could see it from his couch.

Mediocrity lives on here.
I’m as pissed as anyone and probably more disappointed than half the people in here that it’s been 30 years since I was sitting in a championship game. There aren’t many here that actually feel the pinch and that it actually “costs” to be fans!!! If you’re one, great. I don’t say this to talk down at you, I say this because I literally have a right as a customer to be pissed and demand changes for the product that i support. But guess what, i also understand 3 that three years of 11/12 win seasons, and three straight playoff births, and a roster and coaching staff that is thought of by all “real” football minds in the world as being top 7/8 in the game. That’s far from
Mediocre. Is it where we want to be? Nope? Is it frustrating as hell? Yep? But an honest person can’t say, they haven’t at least tried to do what they thought was right to get over the hump. They haven’t sat idle, or been OK with being just good enough. Nobody wants to win a championship more than Jerry Jones. Nobody:!!!!!

Suggestion...a New Year's resolution: give up giving up!
I'm not giving up. I do however look at the realism of the situation and what the Cowboys have proven year after year in certain situation under Jerry's leadership. Does that mean I have no hope and root for a loss? Of course not. I hope they prove me wrong. I know they are capable of beating anyone. They have a habit of beating themselves though and that's the team culture at play.

I appreciate the suggestion though :) I'm generally not a negative person, but I do see years of evidence backing my stance on this until they prove otherwise. There were a couple of tell-tale games this year that were previews of the playoffs.
